Vehicle Detail

If you've never bought/sold on Ebay please don't bid! You must contact me first and provide identification and cell phone # otherwise your bid will be cancelled and you will be blocked from purchasing. The car is relished because buyer was international and had zero eBay history! Up for auction is a highly desirable 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback. This is a true fastback and an original V8 "C" code car. This is a project car that is very near completion for a strong driver restoration. This car sat for nearly 20 years as resto was started and never finished. While it sat the paint was chipped and some scratches occurred. I drained the gas tank, flushed it, and had the carburetor rebuilt. This is a running, driving car. The interior needs to be finished, probably tuned up, and some exterior finishing. The paint is base/clear Vintage Burgundy, the car's original "X" code color. It was a high quality paint job as I had it sanded and polished. The scratches and chips have been touched up and the car looks fantastic. There is a "ping" dent near the passenger roof rail that, depending on your level of restoration, may or not be in need of repair. (see photo). The body is very straight and the panel gaps are nice. On the outside, new bumpers were hung, new "MUSTANG" pin letters were mounted. Most of the grill assembly comes with the car but may need to be upgraded. New outside door handles, wheel opening moldings and rocker stripe were also added. The windshield is tinted and brand new. the rear glass has a new rubber seal. Will need window trim. Side glass functions as it should. The floors have had some patches. the frame rails and torque boxes and shock towers are all good. On the inside, a new carpet set was added and new sill plates were installed. The dash was painted a nice charcoal black and the car has a new dash pad. The headliner will need to be replaced and the seats recovered. If interested I can have them recovered for $750 wit the correct '67 vinyl.. Most of the back seat fiberglass comes with the car but a couple pieces are missing. The engine is a 302 which we believe is a 1968. The engine runs well and supposedly was rebuilt but to what level I'm not sure. it does have a Petronix ignitor, heavy duty Petronix ignition coil, new 8mm plug wires. it has an Edlebrock carburetor. It is backed by a C4 automatic transmission. This car has a rebuilt power steering set-up with a new power steering valve, slave cylinder, and hoses. The driveline is finished out wit ha Ford 9" posi-traction rearend. Unsure of the gear. Has a new 1 piece after market export brace as well. A number of suspension updates have been to this car to make it handle better, ride better and improve its stance. Authentic Shelby-style traction bars and subframe connectors were added. Reverse eye heavy duty leaf springs and shackle kit from Scott Drake, 1" Grab a Track lowering front coil springs, coil spring saddles, and larger 1" sway bar. Also new upper and lower control arms and KYB air adjustable shock absorbers. The brake system has a 4 wheel disc brake conversion, non-power. The brake lines were all replaced with stainless steel lines and function normally. A newer gas tank, new fuel sending unit and fuel lines were done. A new radiator and new hoses were just installed. The exhaust system was replaced to the mufflers, extension and tailpipe work will need to be added. The wheels are 17" later model rims with nice tread tires. This is a great looking car with a lot of upgrades. A couple of weekends and this car could be good to go! I picked this car up with another project that I want to pursue and just can't do both due to limited space. I can arrange shipping if need it. Please ask questions or have inspection BEFORE you bid. Want a win-win transaction! If you've never bought/sold on Ebay please don't bid! On Nov-03-17 at 19:43:43 PDT, seller added the following information:
