The 190E 2.3-16 was engineered with a Cosworth Head, substantially increasing the performance of the engine. In addition, the exterior was fitted with aerodynamic spoilers and deflectors to increase stability at high speeds. The five-speed manual transmission and limited slip differential make this an incredibly fun car to drive. This model also was lowered at the factory by 15mm. This was the per-cursor to the AMG versions. The 16 valve was known to be one of the best handling sedans of its era. This example has been collector owned and cared for and is equally comfortable on the track, driving to work or on the show field. This is all-original, with no paint repairs or rust to the Black Pearl paint. The Recaro seats are still nearly as new. As a California car, there has never been rust on this car. Everything works as it should. The car comes complete with a car cover and a gorgeous file of all the receipts for maintenance and repairs, plus the original sales window sticker. With 51k miles, this is about as nice as you'll find. It has been owned by a couple of serious Mercedes collectors and is available in the Vista/Bonsall area of Northern San Diego.
