DESCRIPTION: Ask anyone in the world of motorcycles if they know what a CBR 900RR is and you will have your answer..... These bikes speak for themselves and have done so since their inception in 1993. When the CBR900 hit the streets it took the sport bike community and slammed it on its ass. Nothing could compete with it. The power to weight ratio and extreme low end torque and midrange with crazy top end pull made it nearly impossible to keep the front tire on the ground. These bikes were known to be the king of the streets back in their time. Even by today's standards, they can easily hold their own on the streets and back roads. If you're looking to win the 2018 world AMA open class sport bike championship or the Isle of Man world title, this isn't the bike for you. There are many high end sport bikes in today's arsenal easily capable of out performing it on statistics and comparison charts. However....... if you are looking for an inexpensive alternative and something with MORE than enough power and performance to do just about anything you want it to do - this is the perfect bike. There simply is no other sportbike that offers such overall performance and reliability as the Honda CBR 900RR. Do a simple Google search on (high mileage CBR900 bikes) and you will find countless examples with 60k, 70k, even some well over 100K miles and still running perfectly fine on their original motors & tranny's. As with all Honda products, these bikes employ ridiculous reliability characteristics. This particular bike has only 20,125 original miles and runs like new. It starts up instantly and idles for as long as you leave it running. No missing or loading up or sputtering. It's perfectly dialed in and everything functions as it should. This CBR was purchased new in Phoenix AZ by an elderly gentleman who owned it for many years. Only rode it on weekends and rare occasions. It was then sold to a friend of his who worked at the Florence prison and rode the bike to work and back to save on gas during the cooler fall & winter months. During the hot summers, it was parked in the garage (indoors) and protected from the elements. When it was ridden to work, it was always covered under a genuine Honda CBR900 motorcycle cover. As a result, this bike has never been parked in the hot sun or left out to rot or fade in the elements. And best of all, NO RUST!! Due to the dry climate in Arizona, there is essentially no rust or corrosion concerns like there is in colder climates. I tried my best to show the bike in close detail. Look at the close up photo's provided and you will see what I mean. A brand new rear tire was just installed in March of 2017 and a complete service was performed by Apache Honda at that time. Fresh oil change with synthetic Honda lube oil & filter. Chain adjusted & lubed etc. You could hop on this bike and ride it clear across the country right now. No issues to address, no problems or items needed to be fixed. Just start it up, lower your windscreen visor and enjoy!! This bike is primarily all stock. No internal motor modifications, no silly jet kits or carb kits or air box hacking. No headers or high performance air shifters or clutch kits etc........ This one is proudly all OEM stock. Here is a summary of what has been done for improvements: - Smoke tinted windscreen by Zero Gravity- Carbon fiber flush mount turn signals- Smoke tinted LED tail light w/ integrated turn signals- Pro Grip carbon fiber GEL tank pad- Viper slip on polished exhaust- Carbon fiber gas cap filler cover- Rear fender shaved and raised- Black light weight clutch & brake levers I have all of the stock parts too: I have the original stock exhaust still in perfect condition, original front & rear turn signals, original windscreen, original 1998 Honda owners manual. FLAWS:If you look the bike over in extreme detail you may find a few imperfections here and there. As with any pre-owned vehicle, scratches, nicks, scuffs, chips..... all may be present. I do believe there is a scratch on the lower left underbelly fairing where it says Honda. But you have to be lying on the ground looking up at the fairing to notice. Otherwise it's about as perfect as you can get for a 1998 year model bike. Due to Ebay's recent policy, they no longer allow embedding video links in the descriptions.
