1980 Honda xl500s; collector quality survivor with 4836 miles. The bike is mostly origional with some cool vintage upgrades. No Reserve! One owner Street Legal Dual Sport Enduro with Clear Colorado Title in hand. Mechanical Condition: Starts second kick every time, no leaks anywhere, idles even, no smoke, shifts great, and pulls hard. Clutch is new. Brakes are good front and back, stops easily. It has dual purpose tires with some dry rot. They will want to be changed if you are riding regularly. I have had a lot of these vintage big bore Hondas and this one rides excellent. The bike has an aftermarket Works rear suspension and Terry front fork kit, with a performance chain tensioner to compensate for the extra suspension. The package adds a couple inches of travel and was installed in 1983. It works great. There is also a supertrapp type muffler. No rust on muffler. The headlight and brakelight work, neutral light works. The speedometer and odometer work great, neutral light works, horn, and high beam work. I put in a new battery but the turn signals don't work. The handlebars, mirror, and grips are original. Cosmetic Condition: The plastics, paint, rubber, aluminum and chrome are original and in great shape with no fading. It is very obvious the bike has been stored inside. Especially the speedometer and seat cover. The seat vinyl is rip free and still very soft. No rust anywhere. There are very few scuffs and scratches on the paint. There are some light scratches on the front fender. I have some spare parts to go with it. A front fender, factory service manual, the skid plate, and new clutch basket with extra set of clutch plates. Bid with confidence.
