1979 Honda xl500s; very nice survivor with 8700 miles. No Reserve. I am the third owner of this Street Legal Dual Sport Enduro. Clear Colorado Title in hand. Mechanical Condition: Starts second kick every time, no leaks anywhere, idles even, no smoke, shifts great, and pulls hard. It rides great. It has new brakes in front and back. New chain and sprockets. Valves were just proffesionally adjusted. It has off road tires that are in great shape with no dry rot. The headlight and brakelight work. Odometer is working, neutral light works. I put in a new battery and the turn signals light up but don't blink. I think it needs a new relay. The speedometer bounces a bit and makes a whirring sound. The handlebars and grips are not original. Cosmetic Condition: The plastics, paint, rubber, aluminum and chrome are original and in good shape. No rust anywhere. No rust in tank. There are very few scuffs and scratches on the paint with a dent on the left side of the gas tank. There are also some light scratches on the rear fender. The seat cover is original.
