Up for auction is a red 2005 Ford Five Hundred SEL sedan with 3.0L V6 and automatic transmission. This vehicle was seized by the Clarendon Hills Police Department following an arrest and has been in our impound lot since October 2016. The vehicle was being driven at the time of arrest. We were awarded legal ownership of the vehicle and possess a clean title. The current mileage is approximately 41,911, which is extremely low for the vehicle's age. As seen in the photos, the exterior of the vehicle is in good overall condition. There are a few dents and scrapes on the front passenger fender/side and rear driver quarter. The tan leather interior is in very good condition. The engine and transmission seem to function smoothly and the vehicle drives well overall. The tires appear to have very little tread wear. *** We have no personal knowledge of the vehicle's maintenance history or any possible mechanical issues if any.*** This vehicle is currently located at the Clarendon Hills PD and will be made available for viewing by interested bidders upon appointment only. Anyone interested in viewing the vehicle MUST first arrange a date/time by calling CHPD at 630-286-5460 during business hours Monday-Friday. We are a small municipal Police Department located in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL. We take pride in our honesty and integrity and have described this vehicle as accurately as possible. That being said, this is a USED VEHICLE and a personal inspection is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. There is NO GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY against current or future mechanical issues. If no contact is made within 24 hrs, we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next highest bidder or sell it otherwise. A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 USC is to be made within 48 hrs of auction end via PayPal with the remaining balance due in cash upon vehicle pickup.
