Vehicle Detail

Turn this on, and drive it home. It needs NOTHING to get it going, and not just going, but running flawlessly. Not one of those auctions where after telling you how great it is, they tell you, " but the bike needs this, and rebuild that..." Etc. This bike is good to go. Title 100% CLEAN. Registered until Sept 2018! Setup to be a fast, fun, and reliable driver with less than 5700 original miles. Only 3 owners since 1975. Owned and brought back to life by a mature lifelong motorcyclist, that went over this bike meticulously as it had been sitting for quite some time. He completely restored the bike, kept as any parts original as possible, and any that needed to be replaced were replaced with high quality parts. *Please note: Myself, I don't work on bikes, so I won't be able to help with super technical questions beyond the basics. I received the bike after his restoration, and have only had it a couple months. You can see the reason for this towards the end of this description. The following is a list of all the things he did in the past 12 months. Converted ignition to PAMCO electronic (no points!)Pulled, rebuilt and synced carbs (new boots)All cables either pulled cleaned/lubed or replacedBrakes flushed, new front lines and bleed screwsReplaced sprockets and chain (higher gearing)New tiresValves timed and chain tension-edNew BatteryNew filtersReplaced bars with SuperSport bendNew grips and mirrorsDerusted tank (no leaks)New Petcock and fuel lines with filtersNew rear ShocksNew SlippersNew Speedo Cable The 360 series has a reputation for iffy slippers. You used to have to find an old parts bike, and hope to get some off of there. Fortunately, the "common motor collective" began reproducing them. I ordered a brand new set just to be sure (even though there were no problems), and had installed about a month ago, so they are good for a long time to come. I have original parts as well that will come with bike. Turn Signals, mounts, and Brake lightCenter StandChain GuardOriginal Chains and SprocketsMirrorsHandlebars Even comes with the original tool bag and Key! The bike is not perfect, but the flaws are very minor. Has the original paint and has a few small dings in tank and wear by seat and some wear on side covers (they are original and completely intact which is rare). All of this is in the photos and pics taken to make it as clear as possible. *One other note, the speedo was beginning to fail. As soon as it got up past about 40mph, the needle would bounce like crazy. After researching, I found a few reasons for this and found its often the speedo cable. I replaced it, and it still had issues, although it was improved. So I considered buying a brand new speedo, but that would have thrown off the vintage look, so I decided to open the speedo, clean out all the old gunk, dirt and dried grease, lube it up, as well as add new LED lights that will last forever (well, a long time anyways). I tell you this because technically, you are not supposed to open a speedo because it could allow someone to rollback the milage (but you can put in a new speedo with 0 miles, so go figure). Since visually, it's near impossible to tell that someone did this, it'd be easy for me to not mention, but I'm an honest seller, so I wanted to note it. Anyone that knows their way around old Hondas can look at the normal wear that happens to any bike, and tell you that the mileage on the speedo is correct. Less than 6k miles, FOR REAL. No B.S. If you know these bikes they are a blast to ride and being a 6 speed with gearing it will cruise easily at highway speeds and has plenty left. These bikes are getting harder to find and have more than doubled in price over the last 10 years. Now the million dollar question... If the bike is so great, then why are you selling it? I'm a pretty tall guy, with a 36 inch inseam. Also have two bulged disks in my neck. After giving it a go for a couple months, I found that due to the way a had to hunch over to ride, it was forcing me to keep a position that became more and more painful as I rode, eventually to the point that I just couldn't do it. I realized that if I want to enjoy the experience, I have to find a bike that puts me in a different position than the classic upright position. If you don't have a messed up neck, and have rode these style bikes comfortably, then you'll be fine. I'm very sad to see this bike go, but I have to find something else more ergonomic, so I can have fun again. Reluctantly, I am going to have to buy a more modern bike, as much as I don't like the look of newer bikes. This bike is beautiful, so if you buy it, please give it a good home. As mentioned, I'll answer questions to the best of my ability. IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN TEN FEEDBACKS, I'M SORRY, BUT YOUR BID WILL BE REJECTED. FOR REAL. UNFORTUNATELY, FOR ANY ITEM THAT IS OF A HIGH DOLLAR VALUE, I NEED TO SEE FEEDBACKS THAT SHOW YOU AREN'T FLAKY OR SHADY. People are notorious for winning auto and motorcycle auctions, then failing to follow through with the purchase. I don't want to deal with that. So don't bid if you are iffy about it. Please. If you want me to ship the bike, I'm more than happy to, as long as you have it all arranged, and they come pick it up. I have no problem with that, but you have to do all of the coordinating with the transport company and simply have me turn over to the shipper. I will not bring it anywhere, or let a "friend" pick it up, etc. Winning bidder pays $700 deposit immediately after the auction win. Auction will end Monday Morning, so I'll give you till the end of Monday to pay the deposit, but I can't wait longer than than that. Thank you for looking!!! *Bike is Located in Northern Los Angeles County (Newbury Park)
