Vehicle Detail
I'm selling my Nash Metropolitan. This is an adorable little car, which runs like a top! And I have lots of spare parts available as well. I have done a TON of work to this car. Mechanically, it is completely restored, it just needs some additional cosmetics.Work Done:Rockers replaced properly by a local body shopBrakes sorted out (master cylinder replaced, wheel cylinders replaced, drums checked and shoes relined)Front suspensions COMPLETELY rebuilt - tie rods, spindles, shocks, everything. This is a big deal on these Metropolitans, and I would venture to say this car handles better than 99% of the Mets out there. Newly rebuilt engine Refreshed transmissionEngine compartment cleaned, prepped and repainted in correct Caribbean BlueWiring harness replaced with a brand new oneNew headliner, rear interior quarter panels, carpet. New heater core, heater control (does need new switch)New three point inertia seatbelts in front seats.BRAND NEW repro gas tank and new sending unit - no rusty tank problems!Stainless exhaustLots of cosmetic upgrades I've forgotten.Basically, this car should be dead reliable for you, and handles as well or better than it did new. The engine runs awesome, just purrs. It shifts nice and snappy. It isn't a perfect car. The blue paint is flawed. But the sale will come with most of a gallon of Caribbean Blue to repaint the car. Windshield rubber should be replaced (probably with the repaint). The speedometer reads about 20% high (a spare speedo is included). The radio worked when I tested it on a battery, but didn't work after I put it in the car, so I haven't pursued that (a spare radio is included). LOTS of spare parts... basically anything you need mechanically.spare engine that was cooked but appears to be rebuildablespare transmission believed to be goodspare radiatorall sort of spare suspension partsspare steering columnspare bench seatspare speedo and radio as mentioned plus lots of other interior parts - switches, dials etc.
