Up for auction is a very complete, original and desirable unmolested 1962 Impala Sport Coupe. It is a two door, hardtop, Even the original steering wheel still on it, As you can see the car is all there with all its trim Just spent over two grand in parts and labor. Interior appears to be all original. Headliner is riped in two sections. I have taped it now but wanted to show the condition, don't want to hide anything. Car runs, shifts good and brakes great great with new components. I bought everything for a 327 motor because of the oil filter but not sure what motor it is. My macanic said it was a 283 because of the markings on the heads and fender emblem, but I'm not sure haven't checked the numbers. Transmission appears to be a two speed powerglide and shifts great. It could be matching numbers, I just haven't read the numbers. First: It has a brand new HEI distributor, and rebuilt carburetor, $500 parts and labor. Second: It has a new gas tank, with new sending unit, new gas tank seal, just flushed & cleaned radiator at radiator shop, new spark plugs, new water pump, new thermosted, new anti-freeze, new upper and lower hoses, new hose clamps, new fuel pump, new battery, New oil change, ignition switch, and ignition key switch, new battery cables, New master cylinder, all four wheel cylinders. I do have receipts for everything. $524 in labor, plus parts over $1000 in parts alone.This car does have some rust in normal places. It is a pretty nice and complete car considering it's 54 years old. All windows all windows go up and down, driver side window needs to replacement gone. All the trim is there some in the trunk. Started taking the trim off to take to body shop but decided not to. I am working on too many projects. Frame looks good, there is rust on both sides of the bottom of inner rockers the can easly be cut and rewelded, theres nothing in the way to cut and reweld couple of pieces, they sell on ebay for under 87.00 bucks a pair. Frame looks good, floorboards look good and trunk looks good. This car is sold as is. No warranty, we are selling this car locally also.
