I purchased the car with a salvage title a few years ago. The car was parked near a gas can that caught on fire. The passenger door paint was burned and the door handle and mirror melted, along with the right front inner fender splash shield, lower side valance, and the windshield washer storage reservoir, pump, and tubes located under the splash shield. [See the last picture of this listing for a view of the previous damage]. The car was totaled and a salvage title issued. The door was sanded, primed, and refinished, and a genuine BMW mirror, door handle, splash shield, lower valance, washer reservoir, pump, and tubing installed. All parts were genuine BMW parts (I have all receipts). The paint shop is one of the best in New York as you can see from the door and fender. No mechanical parts needed repair or replacement. The car was then inspected and issued a rebuilt NY title. It runs, looks, and drives 100%. The 2012 535 all wheel drive BMW's with 55,000 miles are selling for between $20,000 -$30,000!!! I have driven the car about 20,000 miles since, and it has never needed any repair. I recently replaced the run flat tires with normal tires as the ride is greatly improved. I also purchased a spare tire and keep that and a jack in the trunk. The run flats were harsh riding, and a little noisy. The car has heads up display, heated front seats and steering wheel, adjustable chassis, and transmission, key less start, etc. It is a beautiful touring car that is comfortable in both the front and back seats. It is the perfect size car if you need a nimble vehicle for handling and parking, yet want a comfortable back seat for passengers, as well. It has idle shut off, which improves fuel economy.
