I'm having to sell my 1996 Dodge Viper RT/10 that I purchased almost-new with 6k miles. It has never been wrecked and the body is in good shape. The interior is also in good shape. The only issue, that I have been meaning to fix now for over 2 years, is that when it is over 3500 RPM the engine is cutting out. I don't know why and have not had the opportunity to take her to Dodge to find out why. I've run out of time at this point, so I'm just going to get what I can. Here are the specifics: * Comes with a car cover * AC/Heat works * 2 covers, soft and hard * 2 windows that I've never used * Engine replaced by Dodge at 16k mi. It was a Gen I but they put a Gen II into it, which upped the HP. * Rear tires are in good shape * I also have a set of brand new Michelin Rear Tires that I'm including ($1k+ value) * Front tires are almost BRAND NEW * Dent under passenger side exhaust (cannot see from road, happened 10 years ago) * Starts and idles perfectly * Stops/backfires at 3500 RPM, I have not taken to Dodge to understand why * Stock Engine, the only modification, if you can call it a mod is that I put KN air filters in it * Installed a rear spoiler that really makes her look FAST * Never raced * Selling as-is since I need to move out of my home ASAP. All I can say is that she starts up and runs perfectly under 3000 RPM. When she is around 3K RPM the TACH fluctuates but the car stays running, there is no visual indication that there's a problem, let up on the gas and the car continues to run w/o issue until that 3K RPM mark. I'm not a mechanic, so anything else I say would be speculation.On Aug-13-17 at 13:25:23 PDT, seller added the following information: ** I had an omission of a body issue, I am sorry. The rear of the car has scratches (no actual body damage) from a tall curb that I backed into. I've taken a photo of this and have attached. The buyer would need to have it sanded and painted. The actual body isn't damaged, just scraped.
