I am downsizing somewhat, so I am offering for sale my excellent 1999 Excelsior-Henderson Super-X. This is a beautiful bike in the stunning Green & Oyster color combo (my favorite). The bike has a little over 21,000 miles and runs like new. I may still ride it a little while it's for sale, so mileage may vary a bit but not a lot. I have two other motorcycles in the riding rotation as well. I'm getting older, near retirement age, so dropping off a couple of bikes (but may buy another; who knows?). The bike has had all the necessary mechanical updates that the early owners discovered needed to be done, all done by Jamie Jones at Atlantic E-H, the premier E-H shop. Those include: transmission gears rebushed and blueprinted during assembly, extended oil pickup tube, reinforced sidestand, reinforced ignition switch bracket, improved shift detent wheel, fan-assisted oil cooler, new double front and rear wheel bearings, engine mount bushings, K&N Performance air filter assembly, braided copper ground strap. The bike has had synthetic oil changes and filter each oil change. Included are all the Excelsior-Henderson factory accessories, nearly impossible to find today and if you do, they are very pricey. Those include leather E-H saddle bags, windshield assembly, auxiliary driving lights, crash bar, backrest and luggage rack (not shown but included). Also included is the passenger seat. I have a beaded seat cover on the bike because it's been hot here lately but the stock seat underneath is in perfect condition with no rips or loose threads. Stock mufflers have had the baffles knocked out, giving the bike a throaty but not obnoxiously loud rumble. Avon whitewall tires still have a lot of tread left, chrome is excellent, paint has a few small chips but not many. I have found that Triumph British Racing Green is a good touch-up match for the green. I suspect that Triumph's late 1990s Platinum might be a good one for the Oyster. There is a large contingent of Excelsior-Henderson owners online and scattered about the US and Europe who are very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions that might arise. I have found Excelsior-Hendersons to be very dependable. This is the third one I've owned, starting with a new one in 2000. Feel free to ask any questions.
