Up for sale is a unique, custom-built motorcycle that is made up of a stock, numbers-matching, 1966 Triumph TR6T Thunderbird front portion mated to the rear portion of a 1949 Ariel Sq. 4. Recently completed by one of the most respected restoration shops in the business, it has been completely restored from the crankshaft out. The intent was to build a reliable, ‘60’s, custom-built Triumph that resembled a British bike from the late-‘40’s and I think it turned out very well (see photos). My reason for selling the bike is the fact that health issues prevent me from starting and riding the bike comfortably, so I hope it goes to someone who will use it for what it was intended. The bike is literally ‘factory-fresh’ and has never been licensed or ridden on the road, so it will probably require a bit of ‘sorting out’ as most of these custom builds do. However, currently it starts and runs quite nicely and all controls work, so I’m sure will make someone a cool, one-of-a-kind ride. The bike is located in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and I have the clear, Ontario title in my name. The bike is being sold in as-is, where-is with all shipping arrangements or costs being the responsibility of the buyer. I will agree to deliver it to the Canadian side of the US border at Buffalo or Detroit for a modest fee. This bike is an easy import into the USA. A deposit is required within 3 days of auction's close and payment must be in the form of a bank-to-bank wire transfer only within 7 days of auction’s close.
