Vehicle Detail
1999 Land Rover Discovery. Runs and shifts good. No engine or transmission leaks. Cold air conditioning. Michelin tires with lots of tread left. The body is in great condition. No rust. Only damage is to the front bumper (as you can see in the photos). The most obvious thing wrong with the truck is that the sunroofs leak. The windshield is cracked. The interior is very dirty. The truck was worked on (heater core) by a shade tree mechanic and he left the panels on the dash loose. The seats are not torn. The truck was used by an AC service man as his service vehicle and the rear seats were removed. They are there but need to be re-installed. Battery is dead, might just need a charge. No reserve. Will sell for the highest bid.Answers to some questions:I inherited the truck and don't have long-term experience with it. The person I inherited the truck from was using it regularly up until about 8 months ago. His health went downhill and he passed away about 1 month ago. There is no insurance on the car so I have only driven it around the neighborhood.Anyone buying it is buying it "as-is". It does not burn oil and there is no oil leaking into the cooling system (from a blown head gasket). That is not to say that it wouldn't use a little oil from time to time. The engine does not overheat. It cranks and runs and idles with no strange noises but that is not a guarantee that there are "no mechanical issues".I have the title in hand with no liens. The person I inherited the truck from was a non-smoker with no pets but he only bought the truck in July 2015 and I know nothing about its prior use. He always parked it under a carport and may not have even known that the skylights leaked. It was only after I brought it over here that I noticed the leaking skylights. The truck shows no signs of having been in a major accident. The fit of the fenders and doors is good. The ABS light, traction control light and hill descent lights stay on.
