This is a barn find 1965 Triumph (East coast Tricor) 'Desert Racer' TR6 SC for sale. I was going to write a lengthy piece on the rarity of this motorcycle but if you know your Triumphs, you're already familiar with the SC model and it's illustrious history in competition. Matching engine and frame numbers. Rarer than the TT Special model, the SC was primarily made available to the West Coast dealers and proved popular with desert racers. This bike is one of the even RARER east coast models! You could restore it as an east coast or west coast desert sled. It's a pukka 'SC' after all. Production figures for the SC were: 1964: 40 made 1965: 346 made 1966: 260 made in 3 yrs only production. There's scant information available on this rare model, but the 'Triumph Trophy Bible' by Woolridge is the best verification source I've come across. Engine kicks over but does not run. Please understand this motorcycle is sold for restoration.
