Vehicle Detail
Time to make room in the man cave and clear out some of my collection. Make sure to check out some of my other motorcycles for sale. Description: 1992 BMW K1 with less than 31,000 miles in "Royal Blue", complete with books and tools. One of 310 manufactured world wide in 1992 (approx. 120 came to the US) and it is equipped from the factory with ABS brakes and heated grips. It is saddled with a custom leather Corbin seat (stock seat comes with bike).Included in the auction are the factory travel accessories consisting of a NOS tank bag and a rare NOS rear luggage set.Neither have ever been installed and include the rear's unobtainable plastic protective sheeting and the rain cover. Also included are the NOS "K1" decals that the previous owner preferred not to install.Comes with a clear California title in my name and tags are paid until 2018. History: First owner was one of the principals of the oldest BMW Motorcycle dealer in the USA and purchased the K1 in 1993 as her personal bike.At the time I already owned a 1990 K1 and we shared a passion for this particular model. She rode it for over 20 years until she passed away and I purchased it from her estate in 2014 as a complement to my collection. It has been maintained and serviced all its life by her husband who was the Master Tech in the dealership Service department and recently I had a complete 12K miles service performed. Notes: I consider the K1 as one of the great "Gentleman's Express" along with the Norton Commando, the 74-76 BMW R90S and the early (naked) Honda CBX.I would prefer to sell to a collector or a BMW aficionado and I will provide, if desired, an extensive collection of period magazines and articles relating to this amazing bike. Please no cashier's check, money transfers or associated convoluted transactions.PayPal is acceptable but obviously cash is preferred.
