or sale is a 2000, Honda S2000coverible roadster. Honda manufactured these cars beginning in 1999 and stopped production in 2009. The 2000 is considered the first full year the car was produced and is destined to be a collectors vehicle. The S2000 name is based on the 2.0L engine in tradition of the 60's era roadsters. This is the original AP1 model with the front engine, 4 cylinder DOHC-VTEC engine, 237 hp, 1997 cc. independent wishbone suspension, 50/50 front to rear weight distribution. 16" wheels, glass rear widow in the convertible top. Six speed manual transmission. Original silver paint, black leather interior, has a inch tear on the driver side. Aftermarket convertible top in great shape, with no tears or flaws with glass rear window. The car has been babied its entire life. I am the second owner. Car originally was in Ohio and now in Chicago, Illinois. I have had it for approximately 10 years. I have put on approximately 150,000 miles during this period. The car has been garaged and only used in perfect weather. It replaced motorcycle riding on those perfect days. If the top could not be down it stayed in the garage. This seventeen year old beauty has 226421 actual miles on it. The car is all original except for new Goodyear Eagle Sport Radial all season tires that I put on and only have 5301 miles on them. I also put in a new lifetime warranty battery and lifetime warranty brake pads and brake calipers. The part is approx. $25.00 but the door panel has to come off and I have never done the fix. Its so easy to reach over and unlock the door. I have all the original paperwork on the vehicle including the window sticker. I have two key fobs. I have serviced the vehicle regularly and even though the car was not driven much each year the oil was changed annually. I have also replaced brake fluid and coolant within the last 20,000miles. I am selling due to Tesla Model III. This time of life requires a vehicle for travel across the country hicle that has room for more luggage than just the golf clubs. I will certainly missed the wonderful weekend rides in the mountains with the top down. Bank wire or certified check payment required.
