Up for auction is a 2006 Ford Explorer XLT with approximately 239,116 miles. It was seized upon an arrest by the Clarendon Hills Police Department in February 2016 and has been parked in our impound lot ever since. The vehicle was being driven at the time of seizure. The engine runs strong considering the mileage. It drives well, however the transmission shifts a little hard and may need fluid or maintenance. The tires may have developed flat spots from sitting so long as there is a wobble when driving. The brakes may also need servicing. The exterior is in average condition for a vehicle its age with some dents and the usual scrapes/scratches. Both driver side exterior door handles are broken but do operate. The driver side mirror is cracked and the rear view mirror has fallen off the windshield. The leather seats are in good shape as is the rest of the interior in general. The A/C does not blow cold and the radio LCD is not illuminated. The tires have decent tread life left. We have no personal knowledge of the vehicle's mechanical or maintenance history. Clarendon Hills is a small municipality approximately 30 minutes west of Chicago. We have sold many vehicles over the years on EBAY and have a perfect rating. We pride ourselves on honesty and integrity. This vehicle is described to the best of our knowledge. That being said, this is a USED vehicle and DOES NOT COME WITH A WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. Bidders are strongly encouraged to come view the vehicle in person (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY). Upon auction end, the winning bidder must contact me within 24 hrs. If no contact is made within 24 hrs, we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next highest bidder or sell it otherwise. A non-refundable $200.00 USC deposit via PayPal must be made within 48 hrs of auction end, with the remaining balance due in cash upon vehicle pickup. We will not ship the vehicle, however you can arrange your own shipping/pickup if necessary.
