Very nice original 1980 MGB Limited Edition. 28,500 documented original miles. I've seen others on this site claiming low miles but the vehicle's condition suggests otherwise. Not this one. California car that spent one year in Arizona and has now been in the Austin TX area since March 2017, so NO RUST! Everything works on this car including the Overdrive! Top and carpet are newer. The interior is in like new original condition. Runs great. Shifts properly. Has like new convertible top boot and full tonneau cover and well. Brakes all done, new rear shocks and leaf springs. Strut type hood and truck lift supports added. Headlight relays added for brightened headlamps and dash lights have been converted to brighter LED lamps. Non-working clock was replaced to a VDO and is electronic solid state so it keeps proper time. The Zenith Stromberg carborator has the manual choke upgrade. AM/FM CD Player. Garage kept. In excellent mechanical condition all-around: (1) engine starts quickly and runs smoothly, with excellent acceleration and proper compression in each cylinder. Good oil pressure; (2) clutch in very good shape, shifting is smooth, manual transmission is a four speed WITH OVERDRIVE. Overdrive just serviced with new crankcase oil, gasket, new solenoid, with cleaned and lubricated oil pump. I was told by prior owner the clutch was replaced only a few thousand miles ago and I have no reason to doubt that, (3) steering is firm and sporty as it should be; no vibrations and no pulls, the car tracks straight as it should; (4) brakes work perfectly. (5) doors, trunk and hood operate smoothly and close firmly & tight; window cranks operate smoothly as well; (6) convertible mechanism and vinyl are excellent - operating smoothly, locking tightly to windshield, and convertible top is very clean in excellent shape, with zippered rear window; (7) all lights functioning properly. All gauges have been cleaned and have clear lenses and work properly. (8) alternator was replaced in the past 2 years. Battery is good and the car starts right up even after sitting for weeks at a time. Top and carpet were professionally installed and done correctly. Original black paint still shines. A couple of small nicks from 37 years of occasional driving. No typical passenger side door crack near the mirror Interior and top are like new. Trunk area is carpeted with OEM carpet kit. 5 alloy LE wheels. Tires all like new. All Interior panels are in very good shape. Dashboard is like new with NO CRACKS. Seats are like new. Carpet was replaced a few years ago and is like new. The only items that may need attention in the future are as follows: The car will leak a few drops of oil from underneath after sitting for a while LIKE ALL MGBs do. Not nearly enough to add oil between oil changes as the dipstick always shows full. I would address it if and when it ever needs a new clutch and/or the motor is pulled. There is a minor bend in the trunk lid from the original single trunk prop was. See photo. Should not get worse as I upgraded to 2 lift support struts on the hood and trunk lids. See photos. However you might get it smoothed out if you ever go for a re-paint. The car is very presentable as it and DOES NOT NEED A REPAINT unless you want to show the car. I am selling the car because we have a 2 year-old at home and there is no back seat for baby. As such, I am not driving the car as I had hoped to. I have done my best to describe this car's condition and I do not know of any other issues, mechanical or cosmetic, other than those described above.
