He purchased a VTX1800 and although he loved this bike, he really liked the VTX. This is a bike is a bike that has a low cost of ownership. The Shadows are known to be very reliable and easy to take care of. The Shadows have been around forever and are pretty much the same now as they were in the early 2000’s. This bike runs well. The shop just went over the bike and did a complete service. The bike starts and runs well. I have taken this bike for a ride and it is a strong bike. Here are the issues that I can point out.The NEUTRAL light is not adjusted right. It will not start when the light does not come on. I will have the shop adjust that so it will start easier. The lights on the bike are not the original and they will not pass Maryland Inspection. We cannot sell the bike to a Maryland buyer. If you are a Maryland resident this bike is not available to you. We cannot sell the bike in Maryland without inspecting it. The aftermarket lights work but they are very dim and hard to see. The brake lines etc. are braid style and they have some rust on them. There are some areas on the chrome that have some rust.The bike also has an aftermarket set of pipes on it. The bike sounds great. The mirrors are also not legal in Maryland. The aftermarket parts look good but they will not pass in this state. The rear tire is brand new. The front tire is ok but will need replaced soon. This will make a reliable bike for someone. We do not charge any fees above the winning bid. If you are a Maryland resident, we are required to complete the title and tax for the state of Maryland.
