Vehicle Detail
2000 MR2 Spyder I bought this car from a friend who was leaving town with the intention of tidying it and using it myself, or even putting in a 2ZZ motor, but I lost interest so have decided to sell it on. The car runs and drives well, but it has a few issues that the new owner would need to address The good: Starts, runs, drives, turns and stops wellThe electrics work, windows, lights, etcUpgraded stereo with (40pin) iThing connector MAF has been cleanedPlugs and coil packs have been replacedThe badThe paint on the hood and 2 of the fenders is scruffy. It has tiny holes in the clear that don't look great. It hasn't lead to rust or anything, but they don't look great. The check engine light is on for a P0031 generic H02S heater control circuit low - (bank 1 sensor 1) I think this is just an O2 sensor, but because of it, it doesn't have an emmissions certificateThe driver's seat is worn on the bolster The convertible top has a small tear on the passenger side - i believe this is a common issue for this model year. It's only about an inch long, and doesn't cause water issues since i cleaned out the drainsboth front fender flares are dinged. Looks like a miner parking mishap, they're not bad.Tires are worn, but not down to the wear-barsAC does not work. The compressor comes on, but the air is not cold. Perhaps it just needs recharging. I can't see any damage to the pipes so hopefully it's just a small leakHas had a minor shunt at the back. This is reported on the Carfax. One of the boxes that hold the rear bumper on has been repaired, probably the last 2 inches of it, and the bumper seems to have a lost a couple of it's tabs and connectors. Does look serious and no other repairs or damage are visible Please note that I have the car advertised locally, so may close the auction early. Thanks
