FOR SALE A 1969 FIREBIRD CONVERTIBLE 400 One of only 11649 convertibles made....even less with the 400CID engine -CAR IS A FINAL SALE AS IS- Car is in great running condition requiring tender loving care from a new owner. Car was purchased 6 years ago from an owner who completely rebuit the 400 CID engine.Purchased with 43367 on odometer, now 45500. Engine code YT 017133, not sure if matching numbers to VIN, Holley 650 double pumper and replaced the column automatic transmission with a floor 5 speed TREMEC TKO 500 transmission w/ Kessler O/D. Less than 6000 miles on rebuild. Car has updated disk brakes in front and 10bolt Posi rear. Hooker headers and stainless freeflow exhaust. New full wiring harness. Heavy Duty Battery install in trunk. Updates include: MSD ignition (less than 100 miles ago), new plugs, wires, radiator,fan, shroud,water pump, alternator,deep purple synthetic oil, and fuel pump. Autometer gauge cluster in console, 4 speaker CD/FM stereo with bass tube in trunk. Convertible top works and in good condition. Roll down windows, front and rear seat belts. Period floor mats. Trunk in great condition with new liner and fullsize spare and period jack. No rust on floor panels in trunk, or back seat foot wells. Rust was repaired with new floor panel on driver side foot well. Passenger front no rust in foot well. Wipers work, new washer unit present, but not hooked up. No A/C. Cracked heater core (bypassed). Heater/Defrost blower and vents present and work, but I disconeccted when intalling radio. and didnt reattach since heater core needed replacing and I didnt want to tear all of dash apart. Rear Air Suspension works with leaf springs. Needs tires soon. Interior has deluxe option with center burlwood console. Slight 1/2" rip on drivers side seat only. Rest of interior in excellent contidion Interior carpet and mats in great condition, Car has some rust damage on driverside front well and door pillar. (see drivers side pic). Car color and interior NOT original. With a little paint and rust investment this car can be a show stopper. Car needs new instrument cluster cuircuit board to allow brake, gen and oil lights to work (purchased but not installed). All purchase orders from old owner and myself included. Manuals and Shop Books Included. Car is stored in Fort Lauderdale Florida, with a Valid TRANSFERRABLE REGISTRATION (NY does not issue titles to cars older than 1972), so coordination with myself will be needed to pickup car or ship (at buyers expense).
