2006 Ford Freestar for sale. The vehicle drives and runs good. It has new tires, brakes and exhaust check good, and it has a recently rebuilt transmission. This is a really dependable vehicle and would make a great family car. It comes equipped with remote starting for those cold winter mornings. The heater and defrost work well. Radio works, all running lights work, turn signals work, it's ready to drive. There's a couple issues I want to mention that I know about. First, the cluster gauge on the dash goes in and out. This is a common problem with Fords for some reason, but it makes it so you have to take it to the garage to verify millage. You also can't use the trip meter. It doesn't affect the way it runs and it comes on sometimes and then goes off. I don't know if it's a loose connection, bad bulb or what and I don't feel comfortable tearing the dash apart to try a home fix. I estimate the milage between 128,000 and 138,000 but I don't know for sure so listed at 145k; assume that. If desired you can take to garage to verify millage (your cost). The erg light is on as well. I'm attaching photos. I'm fairly handy with vehicles so I'm going to give you my impressions. Issues I could detect: front door bushing look a little worn but not bad, door open and shuts fine no serious drop or major noise; rear drivers side passenger door opens and shuts a little hard - rollers need lubed and maybe replaced if bothersome; small scratch/dent on bottom of drivers side panel near ground - not very noticeable, but could be repaired; rear door latch comes out of the shroud on the left side - doesn't affect opening, but can surprise you if not ready for it open and shuts fine and handle is operational just loose on one side; rust on bottom of doors and rear panels near wheel wells and door - this looks repairable, but I would treat it and get it done; the right front CV makes an almost imperceptible vibration when traveling down the road; the CD player doesn't seem to be working; the cruise control doesn't come on - I'm thinking blown fuse will check and try to replace and update posting; there's some light staining on interior seats and floor carpeting - the car is clean but there's the usual wear and discoloration associated with cloth interiors; undercarriage has some rust but no observable defects. I'm not a master mechanic, but this is all I could find. I encourage all buyers to inspect and feel free to send into a local garage at their cost for full inspection if they want. Terms: The vehicle starts and drives good. However, I'm not warrantying it in any way and it is sold as is, no returns. Feedback must be left at time of pickup before you get a signed title.
