Vehicle Detail
Please read full description and message any questions! I will do my best to fully describe this truck. I bought this truck with plans to drive it and do some light restore work on it but I have too many things going on right now. 1977 Dodge Power Wagon W200 M880 Military fire truck 5/4 ton. It looks to me as if it was a military truck that was then used by a municipality fire dept. Mileage shows 28,300 but will go up a little as I drive it locally. I believe it to be correct as I don't think this model and year of truck would make the 100K flip and still be in this good of condition. I bought the truck in Gaylord MI and drove it over 8hrs back to Central WI with no problems. Top comfortable speed is about 53, although it will go faster. It just drives well at that speed. True to any dodge, the steering is a little loose. This truck also has Tyrone electric clutch hydraulic pump on it. The awesome front bumper is the reservoir. It runs a water pump located under the drivers side front bed corner. They had a water reel there, but not anymore. It also has auxiliary hookups on the front for the hydraulic pump to run other tools or a plow? I have tested the hydraulic pump and it engages and looks to be working as it should. I have not tried the water pump. It runs great! The engine is strong. Things that I would list as good to very good: Tire, brakes, body lines, frame, glass, exhaust looks newer, drives and stops well. Has a solid pintle hitch as well as a receiver hitch. Heater works. Wipers work. CB powers on but I don't think it's hooked up to an antenna. The Siren control box seems to work but the volume control lever on the box is not hooked up so it doesn't send the siren thru the horn under the hood. Things that would be ok or need attention: There are a couple small spots on the body with some rust, under the doors and small spots on the floor next to the door jam. The door jams themselves are solid. The speedometer marker end tip is missing and the volt gauge isn't working. The alternator works, just the gauge in the dash doesn't show. The caulking around the windshield needs to be redone as it leaks a little. My friend that replaces windshields said they just didn't do a great job sealing it when they repainted it. The starter works fine, but sometimes you need to click the switch a few times for it to engage. Seems like the solenoid is acting up occasionally. Rear bumper is twisted up slightly on the back right corner. This thing is built super tough. Rated as 8000 GVW. Just a really cool old truck. This truck will come with a clear title. Please message any questions. The truck is for sale locally as well. Thank you for looking! $500 deposit due within 24hrs of winning thru PayPal, cash or wire transfer. Balance can be paid at pick up. I can hold the truck for a while if you need to arrange shipping but the full amount would need to be paid within 3 days.
