1970 VW BUG -- CONVERTIBLE KARMANN EDITION Thanks for viewing this classic very nice example of days gone by. If you are seeking a head turning excellent driver, that is more than ready to take home the prize at your local show -- look no further. VW convertibles are very sought after by a special class of enthusiasts. Imagine yourself proudly discussing this vehicles heritage with like minded viewers VIN NUMBER: 1502204082 The body and frame have matching numbers as found on the rear gunnel, and behind the spare tire in the trunk. The windshield is a replacement but the side windows are all original. ODOMETER SHOWING 48,918 which is believed to be original. I am listing this vehicle for the owner. She has enjoyed this and other vintage vehicles for about fifteen years. She hasn't sapped all the fun from this very nice restoration. This Karmann edition is in excellent condition...but it is NOT flawless. It is RUST free, with a new paint job, and a pristine interior. There are two slight blemishes as shown in the photos...ne on the passenger side lover fender (rock chip) and one on the edge of the drivers side front fender. The engine was replaced in 1996. It starts as most typical VW's do....reliably and quickly. It runs well. The owner reports comfortably driving this car to shows around Virginia. Mechanically this vehicle is sound. Visually it is even better. Cosmetically this car is very, very nice. The interior is pristine. The convertible top is excellent. The deep blue paint shines as new! The white top and interior are flwaless....incuding the glass in the top. All glass and chrome is excellent. The tires are in very good to excellent condition...size 165R15 steel belted Ultra Metric. I have a multi ring binder full of maintenance records dating back to 1972. I am very serious when I describe any item. I try to note anything --good and bad, that I see or have been told by the owner. My Ebay feedback is important to me. I hope yours is as well.
