Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 2008 BMW 128i with premium package. I originally leased this car new from the dealer and ended up buying it when the lease ended. As you can see from the list below, a great deal of work has been put into the car and it's a blast to drive. If the car could use any upgrades at this point, it would probably be an LSD, other than that it lacks nothing. Also, the car comes with a spare tire in the trunk as the mounted tires are not run-flats. I have meticulously maintained the car ever since purchase. Services have been performed ahead of schedule to ensure the car's longevity. For example, oil changes have been performed at 7,500 instead of the factory recommended 15,000. Transmission and rear differential fluid have also been replaced since these "Lifetime" fluids do not provide adequate protection to 100,000 miles and cause parts to fail. If you look under major maintenance, you will see the coolant pump and thermostat were replaced. These were done as preventative maintenance at 72,000 miles, the original parts never failed. The car has an Active Autowerke tune that requires premium fuel at all times. The Active Autowerke ECU programmer will be included. If you take this car to a BMW dealer (which you should never do) they will perform an ECU update that will wipe out the tune, so don't do it!The car has paint issues. In addition to the few scratches on the front bumper, rear bumper, and driver front quarter panel, the passenger rear quarter-panel and door could use a repaint. The car is fine as is, but if you want the car to look immaculate, then either a repaint or a vinyl would be required. Back in 2013, the car was rear ended at a slow speed. I had a trailer hitch installed at the time which I used as a bicycle carrier mount. the hitch absorbed the impact with no structural damage to the car. Only a rear bumper change was required. The car is not my daily driver, but I do take it out when the weather is nice, so mileage will increase while the listing is active.Over $7,000 spent in upgraded parts. This amount does not include labor of nearly $4,000.Upgrades M3/1M Front Control Arm Upgrade 380 M3/1M Rear Upper Control Arm Upgrade Kit 440 Bilstein shocks with matching Eibach Pro-Kit springs 850 M3 Rear subframe bushing upgrage 260 BMW 15mm rear sway bar upgrade 151 M3 front swaybar upgrage 320 Upgraded heavy duty sway bar end links 200 M3 transmission mounts 33 Apex ARC-8 18” Wheels 18x8.5, 18x9.5 (18.20 lbs each) 1200 AFE stage2 air intake 411 Active Autowerke tune 500 Supersprint secondary cat delete pipes 305 Supersprint muffler 1155 3M Crystaline tints 400 BMW European black line LED taillights 430 Clutch delay valve delete Large Maintenance work in addition to regular maintenance Coolant pump replaced Thermostat replaced Valve cover gasket replaced Oil pan gasket replaced Eccentric shaft sensor replaced Exhaust manifold O2 sensors replaced Spark plugs replaced Oil filter housing gasket replacedTransmission output shaft seal replacedMotor Mounts replaced I have a set of used DEPO projector headlights that I’ll include, they require TLC but are functional. If the car is being transported to you, i'll have to fold the rear seats and place them inside. They're great for a winter setup
