Vehicle Detail
I owned this VW Jetta Station Wagon from the time it had 10,000 miles on it. I packed on over 213333 bringing it up to 223333. This car has been taken as good of care as I could through the years. It has the expected wear and tear on it you could imagine, but it is time for me to give it up. I have always changed the oil myself at 5k intervals with 10w-30 Castrol Edge synthetic oil. The rest of the fluids are VW specified. The transmission was just flushed in the past summer and has been flushed at regular intervals. 01M transmission was rebuilt at 200K. Timing belt and water pump changed every 70k and has another 35K miles before the next scheduled change. The fuel pump may need replaced soon (very infrequent starting issues due to pump acting up - never replaced yet). NGK spark plugs have been used every 70K with the timing belt change with NGK wire sets. Tinted windows all around. Koni Shocks and Struts - Car lowered 2.5" with Golf alloy rims. The check engine light is on because of the Catalytic convert but it always comes on. The Cat was replaced with both 02 sensors just a few months ago. There is a rattle in the exhaust and not sure how to fix... Something is rubbing and not sure where... but the entire exhaust was replaced. The car always caught eyes and now is the time to get rid of her and into another good VW home for someone who can fix these minor issues. The car has the potential to go another 200K miles if taken care of the way it has been. Hate to see it go. Can be patched up if needed.
