Vehicle Detail
1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu 350 NO RESERVE! Here we have one of the nicest old chevelles you are going to find anywhere! You might argue it has too many doors, but try to find another one like it, I've looked around quite a bit and this is the nicest. This is a one owner chevelle. It was purchased and remained in the same northwest Kansas town its entire life. It was the owners pride and joy, it was babied, and serviced regularly. It never spent a night outdoors unless it was taken on vacation. It has 50k original, 1 owner miles. Please look at the pictures well, this vehicle was not professionally detailed. This is exactly how it was kept. Everything on it is completely original (other than the obvious tires, fluids, etc.) original seats that show no wear, original carpet, etc.. I was told that even the floor mats were the ones that came with it new from the dealership. This car came pretty well optioned, with power brakes, power steering, and air conditioning. The A/C will need a charge, but the compressor turns freely by hand. Upon purchase of the car, the original owner had the dealership install cruise control and a CB radio, both remain with the car and both work. The trunk of the car looks just like new, as does the original spare tire, which apparently has never touched the ground. Obviously, there is not a speck of rust, nor had there ever been. This car is not perfect. Although it is the best maintained vehicle of this age I have ever owned, it does have 50000 miles on it. There are a couple very minor pits and scratches here and there, but nothing you would not expect to see when buying a 3 year old used vehicle from your local dealer, truly amazing for a 45 year old car. The only issue that is even slightly noticeable is on the right side of the hood, where someone got in a hurry shutting it, and it buckled it ever so slightly. A body man could massage this out fairly easily. I, however, am not a body man. The last time this car was driven on any kind of a regular basis, was approximately 15 years ago, so while you can hop in the car and cruise around town all day just fine (it runs great) it does have a few issues that will need to be addressed. Most notable, the tires are somewhat flat spotted from setting. Not to bad around town, but you start to really feel it around 50mph. Also, the carb stumbles a little on acceleration, just for a second. This may correct itself with some driving. Shocks could also use replacing, rides extremely nice, but has a little old car float to it. This car starts, idles, accelerates, shifts and stops very well. All lights, even back up lights work. The factory AM radio works well. The wing windows crank out and back in, etc.. Over all, just an amazing piece of automotive history, a true time capsule. I'm more of an old truck guy than an old car guy, but I know this would be worth an absolute fortune if it was a 2 door. This is a chance to get something just as fun, and unbelievably original, for a lot less money. I'm a little old school, but my plans were to put on a set of cragar's and some white letter tires, that would give it an entirely different look. I included one photo of a similar car with different wheels just to show what I mean. I actually purchased this car with every intention of keeping it, but my wife found a Jeep she wants for the summer, so...... you get the picture. I'm taking a little bit of a chance selling this at no reserve, but I just can't imagine there won't be at least a couple of you that love it as much as I do. I try to do a good job of describing the vehicle and taking pictures, but if you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to call or text Cort at 620-786-5172. I've sold quite a few old vehicles here, so please read over my feedback, and feel confident bidding. I don't have a problem storing vehicle for a while so you have time to arrange shipping, as long as its paid for in a timely manner. Thank you and Good luck.
