Original Owner. Have Records. Well Maintained. Awesome Truck. Mostly highway miles. Tires almost new. Remote Start with Alarm. Upgraded stereo. Some clear coat peeling on top of right front quarter panel, see pic. I loved this truck and maintained it throughout its life. I planned to keep it well into the future. It was perfect up until recently when an uncommon event happen. Honda dealer had only seen it one other time. I was going out of town and one of the coil packs that sit on top of a spark plug burnt in half. When it burnt in half, the spark plug became so hot it came apart and dropped part of the plug into the cylinder scoring the cylinder. I towed it to the Honda dealer and they drilled out the plug. Other 5 plugs/cylinders not affected. The dealer indicated due to the scoring, the head/engine needed to be rebuilt/replaced. Best I can tell there are 4 options: 1. Replace/restore the plug. Dealer advised this may or may not work as it may not hold sufficient compression.2. Rebuild top half of engine to fix the cylinder scratch. This is likely the lowest cost option.3. Rebuild engine. Since it has 236k miles and you need to rebuild the top half, you should consider rebuilding the entire engine while you are at it and then you would have a practically new engine.4. Replace engine with a used or rebuilt engine. This truck is a great deal if you can fix the engine yourself. I do not have the skills to rebuild/replace the engine so paying someone to do it for me was not worth it to me as a friend of mine passed away and his widow sold me his 2014 truck for a very good price. With engine repaired/rebuilt/replaced, this is a $7k to $10k truck that has many years of life left. Please let me know if you have any questions. OPEN House (truck in this case). Has the truck ever been in a fire, flood, accident? Never a fire, flood, or other. As for accidents: 1. Someone backed into the drivers door. Their insurance replaced the door shell. Only damage was to the door shell. Didn't break glass or internal workings. 2. Someone bumped into the back of me. The vinyl bumper and foam was replaced. It did not damage the tailgate, trailer hitch, frame, or anything other than the foam and vinyl covering. Note: Both were over 5 years ago, very minor, and were repaired by the other person's insurance. I don't believe either are noticeable. Has the airbag ever gone off? No Do the power windows, etc work? Yes. All power equipment works including windows, seats, seat heater, sunroof, etc. Also, heat, AC, Power Steering, Brakes, lights, wipers, blinkers, etc work. Everything was working when the coil pack burnt in half. Are there any transmission issues? No. I have never had an issue and have replaced the fluid as Honda recommended as part of maintenance. When the coil pack burnt in half, did it or anything else catch fire? No. Truck just stopped running and I pulled over and had it towed to dealer.
