Vehicle Detail
1969 Fuji Go Devil “FOLDING” motorcycle This is a very rare 1969 Fuji Go Devil folding motorcycle in very good original (not restored) condition. Remember motorcycles are only original once. Every part on this rare bike is original – even the seat cover that has the Go Devil insignia on the back. It also has it's original 5 inch Nitto tires and they are in great shape. They are 4 feet long, 26” at the seat and the handlebars are at 36 inches tall. Compare that to a Taco or a Lil Indian "mini bike, which I have, that has 6 inch tires and it is only 3 feet long, 22” at the seat and handlebars at 32”. They are BIG mini bikes and that is why they are called folding “motorcycles”. They were also called the “folding circus clown scooter”. They were made in Japan from 1962 until 1970 (my opinion dates/could not verify) and imported by American Aluminum and Steel out of Los Angeles and sold for $200 back in the 60’s. Spring is here and you possibly may have had this same bike as a child growing up or just always wanted one. They were built like a scooter with floorboards and held together with a hinged joint and aluminum bar. The handlebars were purposely tilted up at an angle, like a speedway bike. With a two stroke (20 to 1 mixture) 3HP, 50cc motor, torque converter, automatic clutch and chain being on the right side, it was a natural “slider” and could beat any other four stroke Briggs and Stratton 3 and/or 5 HP Taco’s, Bonanza’s, Lil Indians etc. back in the 1960’s. You could just fold it up and put in the trunk and close the lid after the race. People would also take these on airplanes and boats and pull them out at destination. It only weighs 65 pounds. The bike starts and runs fine for being 48 years old. The seat cover has a couple small tears in it that you can see in the pictures. The hand grips are not original to the bike. I guessed at the 100 miles, since it has no speedometer, based on the condition of the original Nitto tires. Please do not ask me what the reserve price is because I will not tell you and it is not fair to other potential buyers. But I will tell you, that it is very reasonably priced for a very rare original folding motorcycle in great condition. If you ever find these on Ebay they are usually going for well over a grand. Most all "dedicated" mini bike and/or motorcycle collectors want one or already have one. The motorcycle will be sold as-is, with no warranties implied and it does not have a title but a bill of sale will be provided. Please see picture of the VIN number on the bike – PS10725. Please check my EBay feedback history. I have over 240 positive feedbacks and it is at 100% satisfaction for a reason and ninety five percent of my EBay sales are related to motorcycles, motorcycle parts or mini bikes. I have been riding, racing, restoring and collecting motorcycles for over 45 years. See my EBay profile picture of me on a 1975 Honda 125 Elsinore at a Lake Elsinore Grand Prix race. I also have several transport contacts and can get this folding bike transported almost anywhere in the United States for much less than most motorcycle transporters and USHIP. I also have transported motorcycles to Australia and Europe and I have no issues selling to anyone out of the country. This will have to be shipped via UPS or Fed Ex for it to get it over the ocean since there is no title, but I will assist with packaging the bike for a minimal cost but you pay shipping cost. I will also assist in packaging and shipping this in the United States, but it will probably be over $150. I will also deliver this bike for fifty cents a mile, both ways, anywhere within reason in the Southern California area and possibly further. As you can tell from the pictures, this is a great bike to have. People just cannot believe it when you unfold it up in front of them, start it and take off – they are amazed. It takes less than a minute to fold up or unfold. Please check out my other motorcycle listings that I am currently selling on ebay from my motorcycle collection, an exceptionally restored 1977 Yamaha YZ 250 and other original bikes - a rare 1967 Sears Gilera, a rare 1972 Yamaha GS7, and a very rare 1968 Sears Allstate Puch Sabre. I also currently have a variety of motorcycle parts priced well below most other similar parts on EBay. If you are new to eBay, then you may not be aware that your bid means you are buying what you are bidding on if you are the highest bidder over the reserve price. If you have less than ten feedbacks you must contact me to let me know that you are serious about completing the sale or I will cancel your bid. Please bid only if you really want this rare motorcycle. Please don’t be a flake. I am not desperate to sell, I am not a dealer, I don't do this for a living, I am a motorcycle enthusiast. If you'd like any detailed photos of a specific area of the bike, just ask! Please ask any questions you may have, because you will be answered quickly and honestly. With all the bikes I own or have owned over the years, I know how disappointing it is when someone over-sells a bikes condition so you may be sure I won't do that to you. I have disclosed and will gladly provide photos of all known defects for your inspection. If you would like to see the motorcycle in person before auction close please just send me a question and I will arrange a date and time. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time in order to sell this bike locally as well or this bike will go to the highest bidder over my reserve price here on Ebay!
