Produced from 1976-1989 in various guises, they represented the pinnacle of Grand touring cars of the day. The coupe’s featured a smooth and powerful 215 horsepower 6-cylinder engine mated to a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission. The interiors were lovely, featuring the finest leather and the quality of the German design, fit and finish on these cars was unrivaled. The car on offer here has been owned by the same owner since 1992, rarely driven and well maintained, and is a very original “time capsule”. The car has the 4-speed automatic transmission. The car has only gone 67,400 Carfax Verified miles, and is in wonderful original condition. The Grey Delphin-metallic paint is excellent with good shine and a deep luster. The Black leather interior is likewise in wonderful condition, the rear seats appear to have been rarely used. The leather front seats are supple with a nice patina and only the slightest wear on the drivers side bolster. The climate control works as it should, and the air condition needs a recharge. The original radio works well. The Tachometer currently isn’t working.The underside is clean and the exhaust system is solid. The wheels are from a late 80’s 7- series; the Original metric sized wheel are included with the car. The tires should be replaced as they are more than 10 years old. The car has its original books and manuals and an almost complete tool kit. We just drove it 100 miles from her home in Sharon Ct, and the car drove well. Please remember that this is a 30 year old car, and should be viewed as such. The suspension is tight, and the brakes work well, but the new owner should inspect the car well before purchase.
