If youve been looking for the ultimate Discovery 2 or just a really nice well upgraded Land Rover, This is your chance. Our shop, Rover Central, has built this Disco over the last year exactly the way we would want one. We started with a rust free Southwest dry climate truck. This truck was a rare special edition SD. It was loaded with all the SE7 options and more, but without the sunroofs. This is a very rare option package as nearly every loaded Disco has sunroofs which can become troublesome, and are not well suited for off road use. Even more special, this special edition Discovery had a 2 tone leather and tweed upholstery with matching steering wheel and knobs from the factory. It also was equipped with the rare Typhoon 16 wheels which are stylish yet also better for taking an off road tire in comparison with the 18 inch wheels. After selecting the perfect truck to start with, it recieved a full outside trim strip down, full repaint in Ardennes Green, and then reassembly could take place. All plastic trim was refinished or replaced, and the troublesome stock bumpers were replaced with new steel bumpers. The front one has provisions for a winch. A full length roof rack was added as well along with rear step and ladder. Mechanically, this truck is excellent. Even though it was in perfect running condition and low mileage, we pulled the engine and did a full reseal along with new headgaskets and head bolts. we also replaced many components such as the water pump, radiator, expansion tank, etc. We wanted to make sure that this truck was ready for at least another 100k miles. The suspension was rebuilt with new springs, shocks etc including a 2 inch lift from old man emu. The rare Typhoon wheels were professionally refinished and shod with BF Goodrich tires. Perfect? of course no older truck is, however, this truck is the nicest I have seen and to duplicate it would cost far more than the asking price, and that is if you could find such a nice and rare truck to start with.
