Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on ONE: (I HAVE TITLE IN HAND) 1969 CT90 TRAIL MOTORCYCLE, 90CCFRAME SERIAL #: CT90-226015ENGINE SERIAL #: CT90E-226084INCLUDES Any Maintenance manuals, Box of OEM parts & accessories purchased new & not yet used or saved parts removed. Box contains unknown amount or description of these items. THIS MOTORCYCLE IS BEING SOLD "AS IS" It will not start or run in this currently stored state. Our family has been the only owners. There has been no refurbishment, repainting, or reconditioning. There may be parts removed &/or replaced with respect to points, plugs, tires, bulbs, lenses, etc. As well as preventative maintenance performed. Rear luggage rack & upright kickstand were additional features that were factory ordered. ORIGINAL BILL OF SALE states the motorcycle was purchased NEW on June17, 1969 by my Father, (while on TDY in Japan from CLARK A.B., Philippines) from "NCS New Car Sales Ltd., YOKOTO BRANCH, 2302, AZA-MUS ASHINO, FUSSA MACHI, NISHITAMA-GUN, TOKYO, JAPAN" (see pic) After being briefly driven in 1969, in the Philippines, it was disassembled, shipped back to the States & stored until 1974. The motorcycle was reassembled, Titled in Illinois on Aug. 29, 1974 & subsequently registered & driven locally around Mundelein, IL during 1975 & 76. Since then, the motorcycle has been professionally stored with the battery removed, tires deflated, fuel drained & stabilizer run through the fuel system. Battery is not included with the purchase. In 2015, my Father passed away. This is one of two Honda's he had stored. (And that I have listed this week) My Brother, whom is an Auto Mechanic & Myself, an Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, have chosen not to disturb any pickling or stored condition of this motorcycle since 1976. We have only brought the motorcyle out of storage to take pictures and kick it over to assure a non-siezed state of operation. All mechanical & electrical systems were operational at the time of storage in 1976. Other than that, we have not undone the stored condition & have therefore not attempted to attach power, refuel &/or start the motorcycle since 1976. The winning bidder will take on the responsibility to bring the motorcycle from its current state to one of an operational status if desired. MILEAGE LISTED IS APPROXIMATE. (forgot to get actual before storage) The pictures best describe the physical appearance & cosmetic condition of the motorcycle. Unfortunately we cannot provide any more pictures of the motorcycle as we are not anywhere near the stored location. The foregoing is all I can confirm to be fact. I will be more than happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability with respect to any other provenance or operational history. AGAIN, THIS MOTORCYCLE IS BEING SOLD "AS IS" IN ITS CURRENT STORED STATE.ONCE THIS ITEM IS PURCHASED, IT WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER TO ARRANGE FOR PICK-UP FROM AREA CODE 60031 (Gurnee, IL) WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER CLEARED PAYMENT IS RECEIVED. Listed as local pickup only but I will accommodate the buyer if they choose some other shipping method that is pre-paid by the buyer and locally picked up AT THE EXISTING LOCATION.On Mar-05-17 at 20:43:21 PST, seller added the following information: "VIN" (vehicle identification number) IS INCORRECT IN "ITEM SPECIFICS" of listing. CORRECT VIN IS FRAME SERIAL #CT90-226015 as stated in description.. On Mar-06-17 at 07:47:19 PST, seller added the following information: Shipping Details state the motorcycle is located in "Prescott Valley, AZ" ... This is not true.... It is located in Gurnee, IL, Zip Code: 60031On Mar-06-17 at 16:53:47 PST, seller added the following information: Question from my other motorcycle listing came up.... (Item ID: 142303019893) Yes, Hi there. A couple of cute old bikes your father kept. I like them both actually, and may bid on both. I am wondering though, about the pickup. Am I reading the ad correctly in that you expect the two bikes to be picked up within 24 hours of the payment being made? I am in Boston, and that timeframe may present an issue for me, Thank you for any clarification that you might be able to offer. My Answer below also pertains to this listing as well. NOTE: I WAS ABLE TO EXTEND THE "PICK-UP" WINDOW FROM 24 HRS. TO TWO WEEKS (14 DAYS) AFTER CLOSE OF AUCTION ....HOPE THIS HELPS ALL!! Hi! And thank you for your interest. I think your question will also answer others' similar concerns. I have spoken with the owner of the property where the motorcycles were moved out of storage to. The buyer [winning bidder(s)], NOW have up to two weeks (14 days) after the 12th of this Month to pick up the motorcycle(s). PAYMENT IN FULL must still be received within 72 hours after the close of the auctions. I will also post this note as an addition to the description since I cannot modify my earlier time specifications for pick-up. Thank You,TonyOn Mar-08-17 at 14:12:58 PST, seller added the following information: Due to special request, the actual Mileage was found to be 393.1 miles (read directly from the odometer) Needless to say my guesstimate was a little off.......
