Vehicle Detail
Here’s the skivvy. 1982 Suzuki GS 650, custom fender, seat and bars. All the original features that made it a great bike with a little bit of attitude. Title in hand. The Good: Dyna jet kit installed and set up for a K&N air filter with drilled stock exhaust. It has improved the low end and improved throttle response, now the bike feels as it should, once warmed up has no flat spots, ...VERY nice. K&N air filter in original air box. None of this pod filter crap. Oil and filter changed within last 100 miles. Suzuki Brand oil. The transmission and clutch have zero issues and work as new. Clutch springs are newer so little heavy. All brakes work great. Newer pads and rotors are warp free and the bike stops better than you would expect. New clutch and brake levers. Moto style bars for a more upright dirt track seated position. Aftermarket wide bar mirrors. Closed cell battery works like a charm. Been on trickle charger since new. Starter motor works as it should, and bike starts easily. The gauges are in excellent condition and work fine. Custom head light and tail light. Custom seat and chopped rear fender. I have all the original parts and seat of you want to put seat and rear fender back to stock. The Bad: It needs new tires. The tires on it are old (like 1990's old). They hold air and are fine for short rides at low speed. I ran it with aftermarket spoke wheels and dirt track style tires. I sold the wheels and tires to a buddy. There is a bug in the turn signals. Don’t have time to trouble shoot it. Only back left signal is working. I will be happy to give a quick lesson in hand signals to any buyers. Paint does have some nicks on side panels. Tank and front fender are flawless. I ran it with a different front fender. Bike is 35 years old. It has its flaws. No it’s not perfect but I am not asking perfect bike price. If you want perfect go by a new bike and make payments for the rest of your life. This thing has character everybody loves it and stops to look. Great bike for a newer rider or an old pro looking to cruise. Bikes a Gem. I hate to sell it. I would feel confident about taking on a cross country trip as it sits right now (with new tires of course).
