1968 Mercury Cougar Base 289 4v but there's a catch!!!! This Car was built shortly after the Ford strike in 1968...and the engine received some 302 parts! This is an all original car- NUMBERS MATCHING! Even the paint is original, as well as the interior, with a few updates. Engine was torn down to block, completely rebuilt with new rings and honed. Original crank, rods and pistons remain, as they were all in excellent condition. -A new Holley 650 4 barrel carb. with choke was installed to allow the 289 to breathe better. -COMP Cam was installed to wake up the engine- very mild lobe profile -New TYR long tube headers and Flowmaster exhaust complete the re-instal. -New Interstate battery as of last month- -West Coast Classic Cougar head light relay system- making the headlights about 60% brighter now that they take their voltage directly from the battery. -New power brake booster installed less than 50 miles ago Interior: -Dash clock has been converted to TACHOMETER -New BFG Radials- less than 1000 miles on them -Retro Sound audio system with AM/FM, Bluetooth with hands free phone, and MP3 capability -new IN-DASH speaker -Kick panels with 6 1/2 Alpine speakers in the foot wells -New CUSTOM MADE KNIFE HANDLE STEERING WHEEL billet adapter -all in-dash bulbs are now LED, and a WCCC LED bulb relay is installed, so all indicators work properly -original seat belts and headliner clips -new arm rest Marti Report from Marti Auto Works accompanies the sale -original books, owners and features manuals, shop manual, and receipts / paperwork come with as well Headlight buckets have been converted to motorized units- work beautifully!
