Please ask all questions before bidding on the vehicle. 1992 BMW 850i 77,866 miles This was my late fathers car, he owned this car for over 20 years and took incredible care of it when he drove it. Unfortunately, due to his health issues, the car sat in his garage un-used for a few years and because of that it needs some maintenance. Currently the car runs and drives, it passed Virginia State Inspection in July 2016 and has the sticker that is good through July 2017. When it was inspected, a new fuel pump was installed along with a new ABS module, totaling over $3,000 (see picture). Because the car sat for so long, I had the local BMW dealer look it over to see what all needed to be done, and this is what they found: -Car overheats if sitting at idle for long periods of time, once RPM's are brought back up car cools down. Dealer believes this is caused by a bad aux fan (see details in picture from invoice). -Power steering fluid leaks. -Transmission has a fluid leak. -Exhaust has some rust, mainly on rear mufflers (see picture). -Suspension bushings and struts are worn and will need replacing. -Sunroof needs a new cassette. Currently it's closed all the way. -Batteries are getting weak and will need replacing soon (Due to this the trunk automatically does not latch closed to allow access to the batteries. Once batteries are replaced dealer said trunk should operate normally). -Tires will need replacing soon due to age. -Radio currently does not work. I have the correct security code but cannot get it to turn on. The exterior of the car is in very good shape, a few scuffs that could probably be buffed out, but no noticeable dents or dings. The interior was just cleaned, although the leather on the driver seat is worn (see picture). Otherwise it's in good shape, carpet is nice for its age (mats are somewhat faded), no sag in the headliner at all, rear seats look brand new. Trunk has a small stain in very back of carpet (see picture). Like I said, the car runs and drives... the ride is a bit rough though (because of the worn suspension components and probably the tires) and the engine could definitely use a good tune-up. The car can be taken for a test drive, and driven at speed, but because of the listed issues I would highly recommend having it shipped.
