Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a nice K5 Blazer for restoration. These early Blazers are getting really hard to find. This was the reason I picked it up, and that it rust was so minimal would make it an easy restoration. This one has factory air conditioning and cruise control! All of the parts are still there, so no searching for parts to make it work. Someone has remove the engine but left the transmission and transfer case/drive shafts in place. This should make someone an easy repair if they just wanted to drop a motor in and go as is. My plan of course was to completely restore it and have a really nice K5. I have purchased NEW door shells (not skins - SHELLS), rocker panels, front fenders (Originals look rust free, just didn't want to strip the paint since they were bolt on parts), new front fender liners (same reason as fenders) and 4 new door hinges. I didn't order the tail gate but that was next on my list. With all the parts listed the only thing that someone should need to get the body rust free is a new tailgate and a couple small patches behind the doors. The rear quarters behind the rear tires look great! This Blazer had a Wyoming title when I transfered it to my name. I can only assume that because if the minimal rust that it lived most of its life there. It sat in the back of a garage since 1982. I aquired it 3 years ago and it has sat here since then. The odometer says 17251, I would only assume that it is probably 117251 but I have no way of knowing that. It really doesn't look bad at all, and I would consider restoring it but for some reason I seem to collect cars faster than I can repair them. (Car guys will understand that) I simply have way to many projects, and time and money have a way of slipping away. It's time for someone else to enjoy it instead of having it set. I'm not looking to make a fortune, and I not a Barrett Jackson retail list pricer. I 'm trying to get out of it what I have in it and hopefully someone will bring it back to life again. These older K5's keep going up in price and are getting harder to find, don't let this one get away. I'll answer all the intelligent and serious questions that you have. (most of you know what I mean) I sold a lot of things on ebay, and I have gotten screwed a few times. Please only bid if your serious and have the money ready. No, I do not want to trade. Thanks for looking and reading. On Feb-16-17 at 12:03:17 PST, seller added the following information: People are requesting more photos of the underside so I crawled under and took some. There are 2 sections (one on each side) directly underneath the rocker panels that is rusted. They appear to be bolt on items. LMC has them listed as a rocker box. The rest of the floors appear to be completely rust free. Also someone wanted me to take a picture of the glove box door decal to show the options. This truck is to old for that, The only sticker on the glove box is a VIN number sticker. Also I have no idea what transmission or transfer case it has. The transfer case look like it was painted sometime in it's life which leads me to believe that it was removed and rebuilt? It wasn't painted in the truck as there is no over spray on anything else. I hope the pictures tell everyone enough. On Feb-19-17 at 07:29:27 PST, seller added the following information: I'll be honest, Bidders with 0 feedback make me nervous.
