This is a beautiful 1975 Mercedes Benz 450 SEL. This car has been garaged and protected from the elements most of its life. Rust free sheet metal.I have would have no hesitation about sending someone on their way anywhere in the country.She has 187,876 original miles which is nothing on these German engines. It is a quintessential retro old school sedan that could be used as an everyday driver just as it is.... or... with very little effort it could be a showpiece. Runs and drives very well. The 450 V8 engine starts easily and has lots of power, Idles a little rough right now and should probably have plugs and a tune up. On the freeway you never notice, it will zip up over a hundred with no effort. the transmission shifts smooth. New tires all the way around. brake pads are in great condition as well. All of the power windows, door locks and power antenna are working. The exterior is in great rust free condition. There isn't any rot or rust, and the rockers and undercarriage are like new. Original paint is in really nice condition, no dents and the straw yellow finish would look even better after a good buffing. All of the exterior trim and bumpers are intact and in terrific condition.The interior is pretty good for the age however The rear seat back has some damage but is an easy fix..All of the seats door cards and headliner are very nice. The carpeting is OK and we have the correct mats. The interior trim is intact and in good condition. This was a non-smoker owned vehicle and there aren't any odors or burn marks inside this car.Clear, clean title in hand. This 450 SEL is a nice example of a classic Mercedes. After 40 years it still attracts attention and folks assume you're a big tipper when you show up in this car. Can be used as an everyday driver if desired.
