This is a beautiful one-year cycle; a 1982 Honda CB650SC Nighthawk. More importantly, this fully original survivor has been a one-owner machine as well. The original owner preserved this cycle lovingly over the years which is immediately apparent. As with many things, quality is distinguished in the subtleties; everything on this bike shines brightly and could be mistaken for NOS, however this bike was a regular rider - with 10k miles this cycle has not been under glass like it appears but it has been carefully maintained in superb original condition. The original owner, Ron, passed away last year and he left the bike to his nephew Brendon who would like to see the cycle go to someone who will ride it and care for it like "Uncle Ron" did. This bike is truly a pleasure to ride and is a testament to Honda engineering from the time. These 650's were the last of the SOHC Four Cylinder machines which started in 1969 with the CB750. But it was also the start of the Nighthawk model which proceed through 2003; certain a cross roads between two distinct generations in cycling history, and it has the best of both worlds. For example, it sports a lovely original four-into-four exhaust system and a round headlight; two elements exclusive to the 1982 model year. Other notable features of this model are the balanced air-adjusted fork suspension, fully adjustable handlebars, large twin-disc brakes with dual piston calipers, and a gorgeous Candy Flair Blue paint scheme with a matching blue frame. This bike features the original tank with matching bodywork, all including the model/brand emblems. The original seat is also present and looks marvelous. The electrical components including the lights, turn signals, horn, and electric starter all function quite well within the original control housings. The only change from the factory is a set of grips with a larger diameter which aided "Uncle Ron" with his aging hands. Reverting this to original is like swapping floor mats. Ordinarily we like to fully service our machines before listing them for sale, but to say that we enhanced this bike would be a discredit to Uncle Ron; this machine did not need any service work. We documented our findings when going through the bike in the customary fashion and were pleasantly surprised with spotless carburetors, valves that were all in-spec for clearance, ignition timing that was spot on, brake fluid which looks fresh from the bottle, properly adjusted clutch & throttle cables - everything on this cycle demonstrates the loving maintenance the original owner poured into it. Other subtle but significant details are the presence of all of the original frame stickers and factory markings where the need to be for a pristine collector cycle. It should go without saying that this cycle also has fresh fuel, a brand new battery, new NGK spark plugs, fresh oil & filter, and it has received a complete inspection with a test ride to ensure safety and reliability. Yes, of course there is a clear title ready to be transferred. The cycle runs beautifully, looks superb, and is ready to be loved for years to come.________________________________________________________________________________ Click for Buyers Guide Disclosure and full Inspection Notes before bidding! _______________________________________________________________________________ Buy-It-Now - at any time the vehicle may be sold to a ready-buyer on an offer basis - don't miss the chance to own a classic - send your offer today!Worldwide Shipping Assistance - Contact with your postal code for a shipping quote today!
