Vehicle Detail
here for your consideration is a 1967 jaguar mk2 sedan, badged as the '340' for the final year of US import. The Car starts right up and drives OK but should be fully gone through as its has had little use for the last decade or so.. seems to be relatively unmolested condition and the number match those on the jaguar daimler heritage 'production trace record' which state the car was made in feb '67. It has a 4 speed manual transmission and power assisted steering. The US market 340 is same specs as the post 'sept 66 Mk2 sold in other markets.. the only difference from any other 3.4 mk2 sedan is the wheels and hubcaps which were standardized in Sept '67, when imports of this model ended for US market. Unlike the home market 340, the US version has the same chassis numbering sequence as the Mk2 3.4.On Dec-22-16 at 12:43:03 PST, seller added the following information: Ive been asked about rust..look at the images closely. Very little and the main structure is excellent ..nothing as regards any rust through in doors or other outer panels.. the car is straight, very sound and highly original..no evidence of any accidents or accident repairs. actual mileage unknown.. odometer shows +/- 67k. appears to have had one light repaint a long time ago. there is some minor bubbling on the rear lower end of the r/h front fender, but the curved lip appears to be OK.. a couple of jacking point tubes have some damage as is normal with these cars (I do have replacement tubes made to original specs in UK for rear and will offer them with car if a viable buyer comes forth) as previously stated :- it runs and drives ..oil and coolant appear to be clean.. it shifts through gears smoothly, both foot brake and parking brakes work, but, due to little use in the past decade, I'd recommend the car be 'gone through' before embarking on a long journey. Tires are virtually unworn.. but age of them is unknown.. minimally 10 yrs.. Ive never driven it more than a mile or so ..the car is not currently registered for road use..
