Vehicle Detail

For sale is an original 1970 Mach1 Ford Mustang (0F05M). This is a complete car and was restored ten years ago. It has a 4 speed manual transmission. Many new(er) parts. Several body/floor panels were replaced and professionally welded at the time of restoration making this a rust free example. I have owned the car for only a short period of time but have had a local Mustang shop inspect it to make sure it was mechanically sound, which it is. They are available to contact if you so decide. This car accelerates strong, shifts great and brakes smoothly. EXTERIORPaint is very good driver quality. Color is not original. Was Lime Metallic. Its is a shiny base coat clear coat finish. Most areas look excellent but some areas do show some blemishes. I would call it a very strong driver quality paint and a color that turns every head. Yellow with black trim works great on this model. Chrome is all like new condition being very well maintained. Car was garage kept and taken to local car shows only. The hood stripe and"351" are painted on and cleared over. If you want original satin type finish I can have that done for under $200. I think it looks great as is but your option. Also I checked on adding rear window louvers, about $400 installed. Door gaps could be better. Clear coat was never wet sanded or not completely. INTERIORBlack Mach 1 interior is in excellent condition. Everything is working: lighting, gauges. aftermarket CD player, fold down back seat. All simulated wood trim looks new. Door panels like new. Center console very nice. Seats are not worn or ripped. All seat belts present including overhead belts that lock into console. Tach mounted to column. Headliner no rips. UNDERCARRIAGE, WHEELS, & BRAKESPhotos best tell the condition of the floors, frame rails and torque boxes. A fair amount of repair was done at restoration. Trunk is solid, newer gas tank. This car was slated to become a drag car before last owner saved it. The only thing done was the frame was tied. Manual steering with tilt wheel. Was originally a power steering car.Car has rear air shocks. I have driven many Mustangs and this is the smoothest riding one I have experienced. Most sound like a tin can and are very stiff riding. This car is very comfortable. The brakes are 4 wheel power drum. They are pretty new as are brake lines. Power booster works as it should. Emergency brake works.Wheels are 14" Magnum 500's with raised white letter Cooper cobra tires. on the front and on the rear. they were just balanced. Tires are like new condition. I have ordered the one missing center cap. DRIVETRAIN "M" code 351-4V Cleveland engine which runs strong. Engine bay is very clean and detailed. Has manual choke but given a minute to warm up car runs great. Has an electronic ignition. Engine was rebuilt at time of restoration with mild cam. Owner stated he believes it to be the original block. 4 speed toploader was disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled. One thing I noticed is that it did pop out of 3rd on one occasion. Previous owner said it had happened to him as well. Rear end was also opened up, cleaned and new bearings. It is an open 9 inch Ford rear end. 300:1. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own a rust free legend! You can't not look at this car as it cruises down the street and will steal the attention at the cruise-ins. Car comes with a bunch of manuals, Marti report, and receipts to investigate the car's history. I will help coordinate with delivery or can arrange transporter to deliver the car. Thanks for looking. please email with any questions. Car is sold "as is where is". If you can't afford the car right now please don't bid. Car is available for inspection and please do that BEFORE the end of auction. I have described this car to the best of my ability. NO TRADES AND I DON'T NEED HELP SELLING.
