Selling WITHOUT RESERVE 1970 Monte Carlo which has been in my family since purchased new at F. H. Daily motor company in Oakland California. I drove the car from Oakland California to VA in 1978. It went into the body shop in 1987 in Jacksonville NC and sat there until Oct of 2016 when I trailer'ed it back to VA. Car is still titled in California but the registration is non-operational.Exterior is Sea Mist Green with a NEW dark green vinyl top. Interior is dark green vinyl. Interior door panels are missing The car has solid floors and trunk. The guy at the body shop got sick and did not get to prime the car so it had surface rust which I cleaned off with steel wool. There are three small repair holes cut in both lower rear front fenders just forward of the doors and left lower quarter panel where repairs were started. See pics. (there are over 20 pictures)The car came equipped with the following options: tinted windshield, all tinted glass, windshield washer jar monitor, vinyl top, rear window defogger, remote control outside mirror, 273 ratio axle, power brakes, power front disc brakes, power steering, inside R/V mirror with map light, luggage compartment lamp, hood lamp, glove box lamp, ashtray lamp, IP lamp, clock, P/B radio, rear seat speaker, special wheel equipment (Rally Wheels) Car was manufactured in the Van Nuys, California. Engine is a 350 with four barrel and auto trans. Car originally did not have AC and an AC system from a donor car was installed but never fully completed. Everything on the car is original with the exception of the fuel pump, the AC components, AM/FM radio (from donor car). NOS original GM front and rear bumpers (GM parts stickers still on them) go with the car. I have the original build sheet, the 1970 Chevrolet New Vehicle Warranty and Owner Protection Plan with Protect-o plate, owners manual, 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Consumer Information Booklet, 1970 original temp identification, the wheel trim ring instruction sheet.. I have most of the license registrations to include those registration/stickers which were purchased but never put on the car because it was in the body shop for 29 years. Car was never in an accident. All paperwork history I have goes with the car. I have a used power window set up available from a donor car AND A COLLECTION 40 year COLLECTION OF NOS GM PARTS WHICH I WILL SELL THE WINNING BIDDER, AT ADDITIONAL COST, IF DESIRED. The car is running and the brakes work. exhaust system is good (no rot) but the heat riser valve is rattling and probably needs replacing. The radiator fan clutch is bad and a new one comes with the car as well as the three (two front and one rear) new flexible rubber brake lines and pair of rear wheel cylinders. I just replaced both front calipers and pads and installed a new master cylinder and flushed the brake system. The tries have OK tread and have been on the car since 1987. New starter solenoid, new set of points, condenser, and coil were just installed.If you don't see the part on the car or in the parts pictures, assume those parts are missing or call me. The original lower door mlds with the black stripe are not pictured but they go with the car. The NOS original GM front and rear bumpers ARE NOT PICTURED BUT GO WITH THE CAR. Front parking light assemblies are on the car but tucked up under the fenders. The back up and license plate lamp assemblies are still there and connected to the car. Long story but that is everything I know about the car.
