This is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 L78 with build sheet. I purchased this car from North Carolina about 5 years ago for a father and son project. The following information describes the completed work. Engine Casting #3969854: The engine is a 1970 period correct 396 L78. This is the motor that came in the car when I purchased it, however it is not the original factory unit. The motor is a 4 bolt main with a decked block. The Forged crank 3.766" stroke and factory Forged rods are balanced. (Call for the Balanced Sheet) The Pistons are 30 over dome aluminum with 10 to 1 compression. The Comp Cam is Hydraulic flat tapped number CL-12-600-4 . It has a Holley 750 CFM carb and Edelbrock RPM intake manifold. Heads Casting #3964291: The heads got a light port job and valve size is 2.19in/1.72exh. Body: The entire vehicle was taken apart and media blasted. We replaced the floors, trunk pan, Quarters, door skins, fenders, hood and trunk lid. All the parts are AMD quality parts. The car was painted PPG Cherry Red( paint code 75) 4 coats of clear. Electrical: The car a new a Front Lamp, Engine, Dash and Trunk harness. Suspension: The car has a new upper and lower bushings. It also has new ball joints, inner, outer tie-rods and a rebuilt gear box. I replaced the bearings, rotors, drums and brakes. Rear-end: The rear-end is a 12 bolt posi , 4.10 factory gears, new bearings and axles. Interior: The interior is a factory black interior kit with new seat foam and sound insulation from Muscle-Factory . Exhaust: The car has dual 2 1/2 inch aluminized exhaust with "H" pipe and Flowmaster mufflers Please text ,email or call me at 562 519-4380 for additional info.
