Vehicle Detail

I'm selling a 2008 Ford F450 SuperDuty fully loaded pickup truck. Purchased it in May 2015 from a dealer as a only 1-owner before who resided in West Virginia. Truck was well maintained and taken care of. I pulled all the CarFax reports and service reports before I purchased it. The owner took it in for anything even if it was just a light bulb. However when I looked at it it needed a new steering gear box (was leaking) and the front end was not the greatest. All Fords seem to last about 90-100K before the front wheel bearings, tie rods, drags, etc go out. Every Ford I've ever owned was the same. It's funny, if you repair/service it after and keep up on the grease etc the front end will last longer then the original. Anyhow I bought the truck knowing it needed a new front end and brakes. I also know about all the Fords problems after about 2003 just after they got rid of the best motor ever built the 7.3L. Nothing compares to that. I still have one. The newer trucks all have issues most leading back to the USA and the emissions garbage they put on it. That basically is the sole reason for ruining these work trucks. Most do a "True Delete" on them. However most don't understand that if you don't catch it before the 40K mile mark or so, it almost doesn't matter. The engine has taken such a beating from the back up it just is what it is till it breaks. I couldn't afford to do mine even after I bought it till just this past summer at 107K miles. I bought it at 80K miles. Basically the Turbos went out and upon replacing them, I was told to just do the delete then. Long story short this is what happened. I was referred to a new bunch of long term diesel mechanics who have serviced several trucks over the years. I had a long conversation with them about the issues at hand regarding the turbos, delete, etc and what I use the truck for. I was told to do it all. I paid $6500 for the service. Both new turbos, fully deleted w/SCT programmer. Upon driving it away, within 1 hour the truck had an issue on the top end pass side valve cover. I took it back and suspect either a lifter, rocker or worst valve. It was a rocker. I decided to do both. Paid another $1,700. Upon that service the shop calls me and says bad news "you need a new short block - motor has a bad bearing at the bottom end". I was pretty upset with these guys. I will not get into the details but in short I picked up the truck and towed it over to a long time Ford mechanics garage with the intention of fixing it. He is vary professional and probably one of the best. Only reason I didn't go there first is cause this broke back in August 2016 and time was everything. He is not close to me distance wise. However with all the BS it was now worth it. He will fix it with a new "long block" from Ford in the crate and warranty for 2 years. He will also bulletproof it (take out the H7 and install H11 studs) with are double the pressure it will with stand. Basically with the new long block and the modifications from Ford, his mods, and the true delete you will have probably one of the best trucks out on the road. I'd put it up against a new 2017 for sure of any kind. I can't afford to fix it. I was quoted about $13,500 for all of it installed. $10,500 just for the new block and the extras. I can vouch for this guy all the way. Most will not give you but a 12 month or 12K mile warranty. His is 2 years regardless. All covered parts labor etc. You can't beat that. I wish I could afford to fix it but can. I did a new front end this past spring and have $4k into that with brakes etc. Yes this truck is a nice haul truck if the motor work is done. Below is what I can tell you. I've always serviced this truck every 4500 miles oil, fuel etc as the guy before me. Really it's just Fords bad design on these trucks. If you can get to them before they get wore in your good. Otherwise google it and you'll see the headaches folks have gone through. Again this is a great truck just had to be this way. If you pay for the new motor I assure you it will be a great truck and you'll never go through what I did because it's basically a whole new style truck with none of those previous issues ever being able to happen. Motor will be safe and vary strong, fast with haul power and better fuel. I think about 16 mpg to be honest. Before it gets about 10-11. Cosmetically its vary clean but a few issues. small scratch on the back rood (1 inch paint is gone). Small minor door dent on drivers door - did not effect the paint) , the back tail gate needs some work with to the lower bracket. It was left down with a trailer hooked up and accidentally got caught up and pushed in on the middle. The result is a back set of lower right brackets and a crease in the gate latch part. Otherwise outside is great. Inside really nice like new except the drivers seat on the left has the normal wear from getting in/out over the years from the previous owner. Otherwise again like new. No smokers, pets, kids etc. Has some other stuff like a reese 5th wheel etc. I do owe on the truck and would like to get as close to that as I can so please feel free to contact me direct with any questions. I'd be happy to explain everything and show the truck to you. New: ($4000)Both wheel bearing/hub assembly'sdragstie rodsdampersteering gear box $950brakes all the way around AFE fully stage 2 air kit ($400) Both Turbos ($3600) Fully Deleted ($3000) (yes I know the other guys did it but still when the truck is fixed it will be deleted and retuned with a better programmer) Both rockers ($1700) a few sensors etc. Photos are when I purchase the truck. It looks pretty much the same except for the cosmetic issues I mentioned. Took care of it. A vary nice truck! Please feel free to contact me through eBay. Provide your phone # and I will respond with mine. I do just want to add a few things here since I've received a ton of interest and questions. 1) Yes this is a private sale truck. Not being sold by a dealer. Photos are only there from when I bought it in May 2015 from a dealer in full running condition. The title is 100% clean/clear. I do own on the truck so title in not in hand. I will have the remaining balance in full for the final payoff upon picking up the truck. 2) Yes, the truck does need a new motor. A long block. You may be able to do a short block but I do not know. The good mechanic where the truck is at has told me a long block is the way to go. I trust his judgment being a Ford Mechanic for almost 15 + years with his own shop. It's entirely up to you what you do with this truck. Have him fix it or load it and take it home. 3) As for starting, the mechanics says it may have just a couple starts left to get it on a trailer but just in case have a backup plan. 4) Cosmetic condition - Other then the truck sitting outside for a couple months (dirt rain etc) it's like the photos when washed other then the brief details I mentioned (tailgate, drivers door minor dent, small scratch on the roof...) Over all it's in great shape. Everything in the photos as the truck sits comes with it including the programmer and the Reese 5th wheel hitch. Any other questions please feel free to ask. Again please bid only if you understand all this & I hope to see the winning bidder soon to show the truck! Thanks- JOn Nov-11-16 at 18:18:48 PST, seller added the following information: Sorry, I meant to say I owe on the truck. I don't have the title in hand now but will make sure it's paid off the day we finalize the deal and make arrangements to have the title switched over to you depending on how you pay it's up to the place I have the load from to determine how fast they can do this. Thanks
