With a heavy heart we are selling our 1962 Thunderbird. Bought it from an older couple who found it years ago at an insurance auction. It was a theft recovery, hence the salvage title. He added the bumpers, tires and rims. His wife drove it as her daily driver until she became ill. Myself and my good friend who owns a body shop went over it with a fine tooth comb to make sure there is no frame damage and has not been in a hard collision. All is good. We had the 390 rebuilt, transmission resealed, new tires, seats rebuilt with new foam. Seats have new leather in the center with vinyl outers for durability. New seat belts all the way around. New carpeting as well. Headliner looks new. Retro radio with iPod hookup. Factory AC blows cold. Heater works great as well as the defroster. Power drum brakes with new booster. Power steering is smooth as silk. All the interior lights, exterior lights, self canceling blinkers, wipers, gauges all work as they should. Floors and trunk are solid. She goes down the freeway straight as an arrow with no shaking or vibrations of any kind. She is ready to be driven anywhere. Please ask as many questions as you like. This girl is 54 years old and has her little flaws. Odometer reads 85113 probably original but there is no way of telling. Note: AC turns on by a switch under the hood release. Fan operates with stock switch as well as all the heating. Clock is stuck at 3:10. Little cover over the trunk key hole is missing. We lost the right rear hubcap on our last road trip.
