Vehicle Detail
Selling due to health issues and that is the only reason I am selling this bike! It is time to pass it to someone who can enjoy it as much as I. This is the bike that started the superbike movement and one ride will tell you why. This is an unrestored original 1971 that was built 12/70. The chain guard was replaced early in it's life with a chrome one. I replaced the gauge faces approx. 6 months ago. Faded gauge faces is a common problem with this model. To the best of my knowledge, the rest of this bike is original. There are some minor blemishes that you would expect from a bike this age including some acid marks on the inside of the left exhaust pipe as shown in the pictures (very minor and hard to see). This bike starts very easy with the electric start and a battery that is only a few months old. I have never tried to kick start this bike, as I know I don't have the strength to do it. The engine runs very smoothly with no unusual noise or smoke. Tires are very good with plenty of tread and brakes work great. I have only owned this bike a short time (7months), but the previous owner inherited it from a long time owner. I will assist with loading this bike, but I will not make shipping plans for you. A $500 paypal deposit is required within 48 hours of the end of the auction with the balance in CLEARED funds before release. Feel free to contact me with any questions. My starting price is my reserve, so bid to win. Hagerty's valuation guide list's this bike at $8000 with a climbing valuation. Tank is rust free.
