I bought this car from someone who did the exterior work and paint job. The floor panels were replaced. I have not found any rust on this car. I replaced the original carbs with weber 32/36 carbs. I had a new s/s gas tank fabricated and replaced the original tank because of rust and sediment in the tank a flushed the fuel lines. The engine and vin numbers match the plate information on the fender plate. The engine runs very good, no strange noises or knocks at all. I installed a later model 5 speed transmission, thinking it would be perform better on the highway, but I will include the original 4 speed transmission. No modifications were required to switch out the transmissions. I have sales receipts of all parts that have been replaced on the car to included brakes, calipers, valves, and tubing; new steering rack, cross member, tie-rod ends and ball joints; replaced front and rear strut cartridges and springs (kyb brand) all bushings have been replaced. Tires are Dunlop P205/55 zr 16 on Konig wheels, there was a tendency to rub before the new springs were installed. Rubbed on the rear left side only The doors, I think, need new hinges, seems lose, but I have not had them checked out by anyone. There is a 3 inch crack in the dash, picture provided. While one gage does not match on the dash, I do not have the ashtray or radio. The original seats were replaced by the previous owner. The driver door panel has a tare.
