Vehicle Detail

Here is a 1972 R75/5 short wheelbase Toaster Tank in almost original condition with all of the original patina. It is missing the tool kit, tire pump and storage box that fits under the seat. Those pieces can easily be obtained via Ebay. The rear shocks are after market shocks installed by the prior owner so they do not have the /5 shock covers they were suppose to come with. I purchased the bike from the original owner. The bike was sitting for about 15 years in his garage. I have gone through the bike front to back and it runs really good. I have put on about 200 miles on the bike after I went through it. The following is what was done to the bike: Replaced front and rear tires with new tubes.Replaced front fork seals, gator boots and fork oil.Replaced every cable on the bike except choke cables.Replaced rubbers...hand grips, foot peg, shift, throttle and cable boots.Changed all fluids including dropping pan and cleaning sump/screen.Replaced oil and air filter.Replaced battery.Rebuilt carburetors with complete rebuild kits.Complete tune-up with new points, plugs and condenser. Torque heads and adjusted the valves.Replaced complete exhaust system from the header pipes, cross over and mufflers. Note the mufflers are not OEM original.Replaced fuel line and both petcocks. The parts replaced on the bike were OEM original replacements. I did not want to start swapping out parts like the handle bars for replacements to keep the bike as original as possible. Therefore the pictures indicate the true wear and tear on this bike with all the original patina. This is a really nice original bike and looks good. The bike has a clear title. In NY with bikes this old have a transferable registration as a title. The bike is a triple matching numbers bike. I have the original bill of sale from when the bike was purchased new. The guy traded in a R60/2 for this bike. By the way, I do have the manuals, keys for the seat lock and front fork. The center stand has the tit broken off but I also have the part. As you can see, it has the original engine protection guard. The speedo and tack work perfectly. In fact everything works really good on this bike. The push rod tubes do weep a little bit of oil and need tightening. There is a $500 deposit to Paypal 24 hours after the auction is closed. You are welcome to come and take a look at the bike prior to the auction closing. The bike is being sold as is with no warranty. Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. Thank you for looking and good luck with your bidding.
