Vehicle Detail

So here's the story on this Jeep. It has been my daily driver for the lat 6 years. I was driving on the freeway on one of Ohio's roads under huge construction. When I hit the BUMP between the bridge and the pavement, it hit pretty hard and I heard something dragging. I got out and saw that the exhaust pipe had snapped at a rusted place and was dragging. I managed to cram it back in place so that I could continue to my destination. But after that I found it hard to get into 1st gear. Then it wouldn't go in at all. Then it started having problems with 3rd and reverse. I couldn't figure out what that would have to do with the exhaust. But I found I could drive in 2nd, 4th, and 5th enough to get home. But then, the engine started making a loud racket that got louder and louder. Like something seriously wrong. I pulled over and called AAA for a tow home. The next day I took it to my mechanic and he explained the following theory. When I hit the bump, it not only snapped my exhaust, but sent the driveline forward into the transmission in a way that messed up the angles for the shifting. That triggered something else getting pushed into the engine which caused a rod or bearing to go out. The engine starts, but sounds horrible. He says the transmission is probably undamaged, but he couldn't tell for sure. The CD player works, there's an overhead sound bar. Gauges all work. All exterior lights work. The fan blower doesn't work, but the control unit for the fan I already bought. Would just need to be installed. The controller that directs air from defroster to face to feet isn't working. Seat belts all work. The soft top is fairly well used, but the zippers all still work. Windows are hazy though. So the Jeep is pretty much a parts Jeep now. The seats are good, except the driver's has some cracking (see photo). The the other two are sound. The tires have maybe 5K left on them. It has rust in all the Jeep places on the body and floorboards. The frame has surface rust, but I believe it's not deeply rusted. This is NO RESERVE. Whatever I get, I get. I'd be happy to answer questions. One more thing... if you're interested in the engine, the top half was all rebuilt 65K miles ago. I think the problem is in the bottom half. For what it's worth...
