I am selling my wife's 2008 Mercury Mountaineer Premier. We are the 2nd owners of the car. We have owned it for about 5 years. It has a V6 4.0L motor, automatic transmission, all wheel drive, moonroof, leather seats, 3rd row seating, 6 disc cd changer, and power windows/locks. The mileage is 98,362. We have clear title with no lien holders. I have all receipts for work and maintenance we have done since owning the car. It is great in the snow and all weather conditions. I just replaced the battery about a week ago so its new. I had the alternator replaced within the last 3 months. Tires are about 1 year old. I also have had the front wheel bearings done and front brakes done recently. The only other repair we have had done is a computer module on the transmission was replaced and he did service on transmission. No issues with the tranny. (I have the receipt for that work). Oil changes were done every 3,000 miles. What it needs:1. REAR BRAKES2. REAR WHEEL BEARINGS (humming sound )Other than these 2 items, I don't know of this car needing anything else. It runs and drives great, but you can hear the bearings humming sound while driving. Car is definitely driveable but I would replace rear brakes and bearings. Only other issue worth mentioning is sometimes ignition key gets stuck in ignition. The car comes with 2 sets of keys and 2 remotes so its not a big deal.
